Stencilled tags

Hi! It's Thursday again so it's Georgina here with my regular Thursday post.
Today I have two stencilled tags to share with you.

For my first tag I used the pretty Glitz Craft Wildflower stencil available from Lisa B Designs. I cut a large tag shape from smooth white card. I lightly distressed the edges with Tumbled Glass Distress ink pad.

I positioned the Wildflower stencil on top of the tag as shown below. I used Post-it notes to mask off areas to prevent colour from going there. I coloured the leaf and stem area first with Forest Moss Distress Ink. I then masked off the areas before adding the purple to the flowerheads.

I used Hobby Art Scene it Sentiments stamp set for the wording. I stamped this with Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad. To finish I added faux stitching and ribbon.

For my second tag I used Imagination Vine Trellis Border stencil and Old Rose Sparkle Medium. To start I cut a large tag shape from white card.

I cut a rectangle of patterned card to fit onto the tag. I used the stencil and Sparkle Medium to add the design to the patterned card. I masked-off the circle so it was kept clear. Once dry I added it to the tag.

I punched butterflies from the remaining patterned card. To finish the tag I stamped a sentiment from the Hobby Art Birthday Collection using a Onyx Black VersaFine ink pad.

  3. These are really pretty. I like the 3D effect of the butterflies on the second tag and the masked off patterned circle. Clever-might use that when I become more proficient at using stencils. I have made a start though!
    Thank you, Jan
