My Tags as promised.....

Morning Bloggers.......

As promised on Sunday, I said that I would bring you some pictures of the tags that I made last weekend at Craftwork Cards demo using the Time Flies Collection which is available HERE
I used the Craftwork Cards Kraft Tag Pad with the collection and some seam binding and lace.
Here is the first one that I made.......

I used the flower and candi elements from the pack as well as  the papers and a little milled lavender Distress Ink.....

A closer look at the flower.....

I used a little lilac co-ordination cardstock on this one to make the colours pop. I also used lots of different shaped scraps from the papers to cover the front of the tag and added a little silver stickles to edge the scraps and then again made a flower and added a sentiment this time.......

Here's a closer look.....

With this one I added more of the butterflies from the papers and made a little spiral rose to go on it....

The spiral rose up close .........

And finally I madea tag card from two tags and just made and added a couple of card  hinges to attach them together and used some purple seam binding and more of the gorgeous butterflies from the paper......

A little closer look at those butterflies.....

Well I will be back on Saturday with some inspiration from the Tea Dance collection which I have a little stock left but not a lot so when its gone, its gone....

Until then, enjoy your day.....

It's all black and white...

Hi there crafty people,

I hope you have all had a good week.  Have you had a go at
Zentangle yet?
This week I tried it using pink and then red, but it really didn't work so,
it's back to black (there's a song in there!!)

Using a black fineliner pen I drew my random patterns within the image
I used the Woodware inverted corner punch on the Neenah and black card
The zigzag paper, message band and sentiment is from the
Craftwork Cards Goodybox called Black Magic
I didn't have a large inverted corner punch for the zigzag paper, so I used a one inch circle punch to punch the corners
I cut the paper to size and on the reverse I made some pencil marks about 1.5 cm in from the outer corners
The base of my circle punch is clear so with the paper and punch upside down, I placed my paper in to the punch and punched a semi-circle shape in line with the pencil marks
I matted and layered the pieces on to a Craftwork Card blank and drew some dashes with my fineliner to finish off

If you haven't seen the Craftwork Cards Goodyboxes yet, they are definitely worth a look
Inside you will find co-ordinating products to produce at least 20 cards
You will get:
20 cards and envelopes - scalloped and straight edges - 12cmx12cm
8x8 paper pack - 2 each of 6 designs
Messages and message bands - 2 of each
Ribbon, diecuts, flowers and candi
The Goodyboxes sell for just £10.00 but contain over £20.00 worth of products

See you at the same time next week, happy crafting

A little more Time Flies .........

Good Morning all,

As a lot of you know by now, I had the absolute pleasure of playing with the new Time Flies Collection last week, getting ready the weekend workshop up at Craftwork Cards in Leeds with the lovely Julie Hickey.

I have been working closely with Craftwork Cards and this collection was inspired by me and has been in my head for such a long time and Sue made it become real for me.
Steph made an absolute fabulous job with the illustration of it, she has so much talent and it has been lovely to work with and I hope that everyone enjoys playing with it as much as I have.....

The collection is available HERE, and there is so much in the pack for you to play with.
It contains:
Time Flies 8" x 8" paper pad, Candi, die-cuts: 22 butterflies, 26 sentiments, 24 flowers, 8 paper bows, 14 labels and 20 bands

These are a few of the ideas that I came up with so far, I do hope that you like them.....

I cut around the elements and tore the edges of the card for a different look edge.....

You can't quite see it on the pictures but I added a little Glossy Accents to the clock face......

I used some co-ordinating coloured card to this one to make the layers pop.....

These little bows are so cute.....I added a little Milled Lavender Distress ink to this one.........

A little bit of co-ordinating seam binding and lace on this card, I love the ruffled look of seam binding......

I really love making flowers.....

Again a little hint of Distress Ink and some co-ordinating card stock to make it pop.......

You can see the glossy accents a little clearer on this one.....

I just love the lilac and cream colours together, so classic.....

A little closer look.....

Well that's about all from me for now, I do hope that you have enjoyed looking.....
I will be back soon with some more inspiration, happy crafting.....

Love to Create

Happy Tuesday, blog visitors, Kirsten here with a very quick post to show what I did with a Tando mini printer’s tray.  I love these, they’re perfect for a small gift or crafting project.  A important tip; because they’re laser cut, there will be a dusty residue around the edges, so give all the pieces a wipe with a dry cloth, or a piece of paper towel.

2013-06-23 001 2013-06-23 003

I used scraps of G45 papers that I had left over from previous projects & used on of the frame layers as a guide.

2013-06-23 002 2013-06-23 001

I glued everything with Cosmic Shimmer glue & when it was dry I painted around the inside & outside edges with black acrylic paint.  I blended a little Wild Honey & Rusty Hinge distress inks over the paper covering the top frame.

I kept the embellishments very simple, just a few buttons & metal gears & filled the mini vial with glitter.  I had the idea of gluing it on upside down & then adding more glitter underneath with Cosmic Shimmer glue.  The quote was stamped onto shrink plastic & cut out with a Spellbinders label die before shrinking with a heat tool.
