Good morning, happy August 1st.

Thank you to everyone who entered their lovely creations into the July challenge.  The winner, as chosen by Random.org is……………

Crafty!

Congratulations!  Please email Lisa at lisabaker1@btinternet.com to get your voucher code & feel free to copy & paste the blog winner’s button from the sidebar to your blog.  Have fun spending your voucher.

The details for the August challenge are on the challenge page & here’s the plaque I made for it.

The layout was inspired by a card I saw on the Graphic 45 blog & I made a few additions to it.  The papers are from the Ladies Secret Diary collection, links to each are below.  I cut the shape from white, hammered textured card stock & blended Antique Linen distress ink around the edges.

The pocket is edged with a piece of Crafts Too lace & a scrap of ribbon from my stash & I used organza ribbon for the tags.

The little birds are by Tando Creative & as I’ve said before, don’t forget to first wipe around the edges of them to remove the dusty residue.  I glued on the papers with Cosmic Shimmer glue & then cut around each piece with a craft knife, smoothing the edges afterwards with a sanding block.
The flowers are Hobby House & Petaloo & I added gold liquid pearls as a final decoration.  I haven't put a quote or sentiment on this project, because I couldn't decide what it should be, so that will be added later.

Picture Perfect 12" x 12" paper  Lasting Impression 12" x 12" paper  Delicate Details 12" x 12" paper  Timeless Memoir 12" x 12" paper  Genuine Article 12" x 12" Paper  Mulberry Flowers - Ivory Blue      Mini pack of Birds and Branches  Sand It Gadget Tool by Core'dinationsBox of 5 Rolls of Sheer Ribbon Summer Vintage Selection - Cream Ribbons 3m

That’s it for now, it will be great to see everyone at the classes in Maidstone tomorrow.  And of course, don’t forget to keep an eye on the What’s New section of the website, Lisa is working hard to get all the new products on there for you.

Thanks for visiting the blog, we’re looking forward to seeing this month’s blog challenge entries.  Until next time, happy crafting!

More Ladies Diary Altered Art Samples......

Good Morning Bloggers,

Yes its me again.......
I know I can hear you saying 'Lisa has managed to blog three times in one week, wow wonders never cease!!'
It won't last long though, I know as I get busy again time will get short but I am enjoying it for now!
I thought that I would share with you today, the altered art Indigo Blu clock that I made as a sample for the class on Friday and is available on my website HERE.
I kept it very simple and firstly painted it with white acrylic paint and then added a little Black Soot Distress Ink.
I used the Indigo Blu Clockwork stamp set with black onyx versafine ink on to one of the co-ordinating papers and tore around them and stuck them to the clock.
I then chose my perfect picture paper from the Ladies Diary Graphic45 collection available HERE  and drew a circle in pencil and then tore the circle until it met a main image and then cut around the image and then carried on tearing in between another image until I had my full circle to attach to the clock.
I then added a little bit of bling with some stickles glue and a little 3D crystal laquer over the images............

Here is a closer look at the centre of the clock.......

Well that's all for now, I hope to bring you a few more altered art inspiration this week and I know that Kirsten has also got some in store for you.

Hugs for now Lisa.X

More Altered Art Creations.........

Good Morning Bloggers,

I thought I would share with you this week, some close ups of my altered art creations that I created to inspire my ladies at last Friday's workshop.
The first one is actually one of the boxes that they all created on Friday.
They all put there own individual spin on the box and if you look at the last post you can see some of there fantastic creations..........

These are the  sides of the box, the papers used on this box are 'Ladies Diary from Graphic 45' which are on the website HERE
They are very gorgeous papers to work with.......

I painted the box with white acyrlic paint and then dragged it with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.
I then started to make embellished panels to cover the box.......

For the topand sides of the box, I ran the paper through an embossing folder to add texture and then sanded it back and then further embellished.
The beautiful ornate scissors are part of the steampunk range of charms on my website HERE ..........

I also lined the box with co-ordinating papers to give it a lovely finish.......

Let me know what you think of the box......
I love to read your comments and to know that you have visited.
Tomorrow, all going well I hope to bring you Indigo Blu altered art clock which will be available from my website from tommorow along with the new stamps.......
Until then,
Big Hugs Lisa. B.x
