Peony Projects

Good morning, happy Tuesday. Today I have a few cards that I made using the Designs by Georgina Peony set of unmounted stamps, created by my fellow DT member, Georgina Ford.

This one is distress inks spritzed with water & the tag stamped onto separate card................

Here, I inked more distress inks through a template, as well as stamping directly onto a card blank, before adding the tag on top..........

For this card, I glued tissue paper to a piece of Anna Marie Designs Vintage Print card stock & stamped the large peony on top, with a little Salty Ocean distress ink for colour. I stamped the tag twice, cutting out the small peony from one tag & gluing it to the other. .........

Finally, distress inks in shades of brown directly onto a card blank, (lots of water flicked onto the inks) with the Penny Black 'Breezy' stamp on top, the tag stamped & cut out three times - gold embossing powder on the middle one, Vintage Sepia Versafine ink & clear embossing ink on the other two.............

*Important housekeeping message............*

Friday sees us back in Fant Hall in Maidstone for the October class & the first of three Christmas project classes. As always, the mobile shop will be open, but with a slightly reduced stock this month, so if you need anything please let us know before Friday morning & we will bring it with us.

The big news about Friday's classes is that I will be teaching them, with the help of Jan, Kate, Jo & Rosemary, as Lisa will be on her way to Stamps Away in Liverpool, where she will be demoing for Imagination Crafts on Saturday - if any of you are going make sure to stop & say hello. And wish us luck for Friday. We will do our very best to make sure you have fun.

Thanks for looking, see you tomorrow.

Pink Dotty Crackle

Good morning crafters. Well, this is my first post on Lisa's blog so thank you for dropping by.  To continue the crackle theme here's my little offering................

First I took some Lavinia laminated card and painted it with Imagination Craft Crackle Medium, let it dry and coated it with Imagination Craft MDF white paint.............

Once dried I stamped it with the Woodware Wheat  stamp using Versafine Onyx Black and embossed with Wow Clear Gloss powder. I matted and layered it with Pink Anna Marie Dotty card stock along with some black card from my stash.  I then cut the crackled image into four squares, and flat matted it onto the card and added a couple of the Cheery Lynn butterflies.

Here's the finished card again.........

Vintage Print Cards

Morning, happy Sunday. Lisa has sets of very nice vintage print card stock by Anna Marie Designs for sale & after I finished my crackle projects, I had a play with them. Here's the first card I made............

I randomly applied Stream Adirondack ink over the card, stamped the Penny Black Slapstick 'Breezy' stamp with embossing ink & heat set with copper embossing powder, then edged the card with

I applied paint through the TCW Burlap Bits stencil onto core'dinations card & cut out sections.........

I used embossing ink & copper EP on the button a few times & added a Hobby House brad.........

The finished card again.........

I used Indigo Blu's Elizabeth Bennet & Dinkie Flourish stamps on this card. I cut out the centre of the vintage print card with a circle die & distressed & tore the edges. The image was given a little colour with Silkies paints & I added gold liquid pearls to the CWC butterfly sentiment..........

Crackled Glass

Good morning, happy Saturday. Kirsten here again, covering Lisa's Saturday post while she's on honeymoon.

I wanted to see if the Imagination Crafts' crackle medium would work on glass & it did, as long as you prepare the surface first..............

Start with a clean surface & brush on a very thin coat of a matte medium - I used Mod Podge, this will give the CM something to stick to. Leave it air dry thoroughly. Once it's dry, brush on the crackle medium. I varied the amount I used; more on some areas than others. Again, leave it to air dry thoroughly.

When the crackle is completely dry, brush on your chosen acrylic paint. Try for even strokes & don't go back over the paint, this stops the crackle from happening. The cracks should start appearing immediately.................

I painted the bottle with Silkies - Sunshine Satin, Sunset Satin & Tuscan Satin & added gold stickles. And because I couldn't leave the bottle empty, I made two OTT flowers from the Woodware
Clear Magic stamp 'Georgina' & its mini version, some painted card & chopsticks............

Thanks for looking. I think that's the last of my crackle medium projects, I'll be back tomorrow with something else.
