Let it Snow....

Good morning all,

Apologies for not being around too much lately on the Blog and Facebook but as a lot of you know my beautiful mum passed away quite suddenly a couple of weeks ago so things have been a little bit tough for me, but I am now getting back to things.........

The make I have to show you today is one of the projects that my ladies made at the end of year Christmas Party class.

Thank you to each and everyone of you that attended and thank you all for your kind words, cards and presents I felt thoroughly spoilt and supported at the same time and I love you all.....
You all enjoyed yourselves and made some beautiful home décor pieces to decorate your homes this Christmas and as usual I fed you all up before you toddled off home......

This home décor piece was created using Anna Marie Designs MDF Snow Plaques which they began by coating it in white gesso paint to give it a good base coat. After it was dried they then went on to dry brush the their words with an acrylic paint colour, I used a pale blue for this one.....
After that was dry they then brayered Diamond sparkle Medium over the words and base before assembling together.....

( A few ladies had problems slotting their words together after not listening to teacher say twice please try to avoid the slots and tabs on the words with your paint and sparkle medium, why they not listen, lol!!.......We got there in the end ladies, didn't we?!)

The Anna Marie Designs Poinsettias were stamped in Versafine Black Onyx and embossed with Wow Clear Sparkle Powder and then cut out, shaped and layered together. I added a pearl gem in to the centre of each....
They also had a couple of  snowflake chippies to colour and sparkle. ( I sold out of these at the class sorry)

Then there were punched holly leaves and scrumped cones and twigs courteous of a lovely pine tree that had shed its cones on the way to my local post office, the tree not a trail of cones as that would just be silly!! I really am losing it.......

I added some white gesso with my fingers to the cones and twigs to give them a snowy look and some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to the edges of the holly leaves and the chippie snowflakes.....

Finally they added some Fluffy stuff to the piece and heat embossed to finish it off and I think you will agree it makes a lovely decoration to adorn your home at Christmas time......

Well, that is all from me for now, but I will be back on Saturday to show you another home décor piece.

Have a great week

Hugs Lisa B xxx
