Good morning, happy Sunday. Sorry I didn't get this posted last night. I did start, but my brain refused to co-operate so I gave up - and then forgot to revert the post to a draft & the stupid thing published automatically, so apologies for that too. Anyway, on to more important things...........
If I had to use only one word to describe Friday's Christmas party classes it would be.... MANIC. But then I'd have to add.... AND LOTS OF FUN.
First up, these were the projects. Aren't they beautiful? We'd asked the ladies at the November class which one they wanted to make so that we'd have the right amount to go around............
Lisa will be going into detail about them in her blog posts next week.
DT member Jan took all the photos on the day - thanks Jan! - and I've noticed that in almost all of them, everyone has their heads down, beavering away............ :)
There's Jean taking a moment.............
And June looking very festive........
Much easier to stand up sometimes!..................
We were delighted to be joined by DT member, Karen Clare, for the day. Here she is in the background on the right, helping out at the evening class.............
Here's our fearless leader, Lisa & her wonderful sister, Jo. It was an emotional day for them, they're missing their mum enormously. But there was a huge amount of love in the room for them & everyone was extremely generous in donating prizes or money & buying raffle tickets for Lord North Ward at Maidstone Hospital, in their mum's memory. For that generosity, we thank you all.
As always, there were lots of new goodies to buy, including this fantastic selection of home décor & gifts.............
We will be adding these to the website soon.
We had lots of MDF pieces from Anna Marie Designs...................
And there were card & project samples all over the room. These are some of the new ones for December, you'll be seeing them here in the coming weeks ..................
Before we knew it, it was time to start all over again for the evening class.........
Hello Sandra.............!
Mel made sure she didn't get covered in gesso, paint or Sparkle Medium.............. :)
Look at how hard everyone is working............
As with previous Christmas parties, there was masses of food, spot prizes galore & the main raffle prize - a hamper packed with over £100 of crafting goodies - was won by Gill Middleton, who attends the afternoon classes. Congratulations Gill!
With so much busyness on the day, we forgot to get photos of anyone's finished project, so I have borrowed this photo from Yvonne Lambert, which she kindly uploaded to the
Lisa B Designs Facebook page.............
Lisa B Designs Facebook page.............
Karen also made the NOEL project, here's hers...........
They're both gorgeous. And Lisa & I love that they're different to her original, we like rebels.
Edited on Dec 8........
Martina Tidball very kindly sent us a photo of her SNOW piece via Facebook.......
Isn't it beautiful??
Thank you Martina!
Edited on December 10:
Joyce Evans sent us a photo of her gorgeous project via Facebook.........
Thanks Joyce!
So, that's it. Another year of classes over. Thank you VERY much to everyone who attended on Friday, we hope you enjoyed yourselves & will display your projects with pride. Thank you for all the cards & presents too, they are very much appreciated.
Huge thanks to Rosemary for the beautiful table decorations on Friday. Thanks also to Kate, Jan Rosemary & Jo, you all worked so hard. None of it could happen without any of you.
I'll be back tomorrow with the final promotion & giveaway of 2014. Thanks for visiting the blog today.

Love this project. Every year the Christmas project gets better and better. Well done to all the team. Well done Lisa too for getting through it. It must have been so hard talking to us like that. Hugs, xxoo
