Good morning, Kirsten here, slightly later than normal. I hope you're enjoying the holiday weekend. I'd like to show you a card I made using the Designs by Georgina Peony stamp set, ***(37% off on the website)*** the Sheena Douglass Sensational Centres cutting dies & two techniques with PaperArtsy Infusions...................
I cut a square of white card for the base & die cut a small pile of the flower centres, then attached thrm to the square of card with Imagination Craft's Magi-bond Decoupage glue. I also covered the top of the flowers with the glue to seal them as I knew there'd be quite a lot of moisture in the next step & I didn't want any pilling of the card............
When the glue was dry I sprinkled on A Bit Jaded & Emerald Isle Infusions & used a damp baby wipe to blend. Every so often I gave the card a quick blast with a heat tool, applied more Infusions & continued to blend them with a baby wipe - making sure to use a clean area each time, so as not too mix the colours too much, until I was happy............
The next step was more of the same colours onto separate pieces of white card, dipping a paintbrush into the Decoupage glue & dragging it through the Infusions to create a striped effect..............
I stamped the small tag from the Designs by Georgina Peony stamp set on to each piece of card with Onyx Black Versafine ink & heat set with WOW! Clear Gloss Embossing powder, cutting out just the peony from the Emerald Isle piece & gluing it on to the A Bit Jaded tag...............
I stamped the sentiment in embossing ink onto black card & heat set with WOW! Bright White embossing powder. I painted the tiny wooden heart from Craft Emotions' embellishments set
Owl & Branches, pressed it into my embossing ink pad, heat set it with WOW! Clear Gloss embossing powder & glued it to the tag with Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear glue & it was time to assemble the card..............
I added some detail to the tag with a permanent white pen & a couple of adhesive pearls here & there to finish.
Thanks for visiting the blog today, have a great week.
Kirsten
