Winter Wonderland Plaque

*This post is part of the November promotion fortnight. Remember to leave a comment to be entered in the giveaway.*

Morning crafty peeps,
I had this oval shaped MDF plaque and decided that the
would fit nicely centralised on it.

through their The Clearing Stencil. Once dried I glued this onto the plaque.
I had the idea to use scrunched up tissue paper around the edges for texture,
 interest and a frosty feel.
So I tore up pieces of tissue, the gift wrapping kind, scrunched up the pieces and glued around the centre picture until the rest of the plaque surface was covered.

I used a green Distress Ink and a little blue colour with
Cut and Dry Foam to add colour to the tissue.Next I added cream Mulberry Roses
blended with distress ink again and glued into position.
A small amount of Crushed Glass Glitter and some sparkly threads
for hanging and the project was finished.

Thanks so much for looking today, crafty hugs xKx

  7. Love the shabby chic feel of this project and the sparkle of course! I have been looking at glass glitter, mica flakes and similar products with envy but I'm not sure how to use them to get a good effect.
