Happy Saturday everyone, I hope the weekend is treating you well so far. Yesterday saw the monthly workshops in Maidstone & boy, were they busy! Lisa is in Birmingham this weekend, demoing for Imagination Crafts at the NEC, so I took the classes, with wonderful assistance from Kate, Jan, Rosemary & Jo.
These are two projects everyone made, using Imagination Crafts Sparkle Medium, background card & acetate.................
Lisa will be detailing how she made both cards in her blog posts soon.
We had to allow for drying time for the SM, so all of that was done first, using Silver & Diamond SMs & everyone was very focused.........
As always, there were lots of new crafting items to tempt everyone..........
Karen, Jan & I have made masses of samples & we'll be posting them here over the next month.........
Before we knew it, it was time for the evening class............
Here's Georgina & Julie...........
That's Rosemary, Pam & Sandra blending distress inks through their stencils for the inside of their cards..........
Here's Gill, I think she was trying to get Sparkle Medium off her hands........... :)
We had a few new ladies in the evening class who had never crafted before & we really threw them in at the deep end with these projects, but they coped brilliantly. Here's Gill, in the middle, applying her SM & being ably assisted by Sarah & Julie..............
Unfortunately, despite the heat in the hall the Sparkle Medium on the acetate didn't dry in time for most people to finish their cards during the class, so they all left carrying their projects VERY carefully. But they all assured me that they had had a lovely time & were very pleased with their cards.
A huge thank you to all the ladies who joined us yesterday. It was a very busy day, but you were all very patient & supportive. Thanks also, to Jo, Kate, Rosemary & Jan for all your help, you really are the best. Thanks too, to Jan, for taking all of these great photos.
And now for some housekeeping notes..........
We had many sell-outs yesterday, especially of Imagination Crafts products, so the website stock numbers are incorrect & it will be Tuesday before we can everything updated. We will be reordering next week & will endeavour to get your orders fulfilled as soon as possible after that.
I did say at the evening class last night that both of the Christmas party classes - on December 5 - are full, but we might be able to in squeeze a few more people on both classes & of course, it's possible we'll get a cancellation or two, so if you would like to go on the waiting list, please let us know as soon as possible. The cost of the class will be £17, this is to cover not only the class, but also a full buffet during it.
And you will all be delighted to know that Lisa WILL be there!
The current blog challenge ends at 11pm tonight, so if you've made any Christmas cards with stamping or paper piecing on them, you've still got a few hours left to enter them.
I'll be back tomorrow with a new blog challenge.
Kirsten
