Morning all, Kirsten here again. I'm covering Lisa's blog posts this week. She hopes to be back next week.
Today I have three cards that began with one idea.
I thought about using the Imagination Crafts Fir Trees stencil as a template, so I applied
Silver Sparkle Medium through the stencil onto Woodware ribbed, kraft card..............
When it was dry I used a craft knife to cut out both trees & attached the ribbed card onto an Imagination Crafts background square - Blue Snow - that I had previously scraped Diamond Sparkle Medium on to with a palette knife............
I added some Hobby House aurora sparklers & pearl medallions, some diamond mesh & the greeting from the Woodware Clear Magic Patch Robin stamp.
For the second card I used the smaller tree, with patterned card - Hobby House Snowflake Flurry Stripe & Ann Marie Designs Powder Blue Dottie. I added some Silver Stickles, liquid pearls & stipple foiled Diamond SM around the edges..............
For the third card I applied white gesso through The Clearing stencil onto Anna Marie Designs Lavender Lace Dottie card & used a torn piece of paper & Woodware Fluffy Stuff to make the hill for the tree to stand on.......
Thanks for looking, see you next time.
Kirsten

Three more great ideas Kirsten. I do like the trees done on Kraft card. Will have to have a go at that myself. x Gill x
ReplyDeleteClever ideas, second card is my favourite, just think the backing papers set the tree off nicely.
ReplyDelete3 very different and lovely creations...you certainly have thought outside the box!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards. My favourite is the bottom one - I love the trees against the dotty background. xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to produce 3 cards from one idea! Love the bling... the diamond mesh is an interesting supply, I think I need some soon.
ReplyDeleteGreat use of the trees, 3 cards, good work.xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards. Love the idea of using the aperture left after cutting out the trees. No waste.
