Hobby Art Class Cards........

Morning my lovelies,

Well it has been a crazy time lately........

It is always very busy this time of the year with the Spring NEC Trade Show in February and the NEC retail show looming up next week. We have also had TV shows on Hochanda to deal with so what with my classes as well, my feet have not touched the ground somewhat so as you can imagine I am slightly shattered lately!

However.......
We had my class on Friday and as you may know by now it was all about Hobby Art and we showcased the Brand New Hobby Art stamps designed by Janie Burnett-Bleach which I absolutely adore, they are just so gorgeous. We did sell out on the night but I will be restocking soon.....

So today I thought that I would share with you the class projects that I set for the night for the ladies to do their own take on. We used Distress inks for the backgrounds, along with aqua pens and Starlights for the colouring of the images.....

The first card was a choice of the gorgeous Oliver Owl Stamp or Nature Trail with the lovely bird stamp......

The backgrounds were made by blending Distress inks on to the card with a blending tool and then adding a moon using Starlights through a circle stencil. They had the choice of doing the night sky or a bright coloured background or natural day scene........

They also had the choice of colouring the images with Distress ink, Watercolour pens or Starlight Paints.

The night owl background was created in the same way but water was splattered on to the background once the ink was applied and then removed with kitchen towel. I also showed the ladies how to water down the Starlights 1 to 5 parts with water and splatter the background to get a starry effect.......

For this one I did a vibrant background and added some texture using a Crackle Background from Indigo Blu which is 22% off on my website at the moment......

Here is a closer look it gives great texture.......

For this one, I kept it as a natural day scene. I wanted to give them a lot of choice and again added some texture with the Crackle Background stamp.......

You can really see it clearly in this photo, it really is a great stamp if you want an easy way to create crackle without having to do it yourself with products......

The second card was a lovely little Book Mark Tag Card using the Funky Flower stamp from Hobby Art which I love. It was created in a very similar way using the Texture Stamps on the background.....

The ladies made some fantastic makes and you can see them all here in a album that Kirsten created on our Facebook page HERE

I am celebrating 500 likes on the Lisa B Designs Facebook page with a little giveaway, it's open until Sunday, March 12, if you'd like to join in.

***On the website, some Hobby Art stamp sets have been reduced in price by 25% - 40%.***

Well I hope you have a great week and I will catch up with you next week with a tutorial on a canvas that I created for the class......

Love and hugs

Lisa B xxx
