Good morning everyone and Happy Friday
This week I decided to do something different and had a go at making gift bags in readiness for
Fathers Day
I've used a 12x12 sheet of green textured paper which is available from Lisa's shop on workshop days and a sheet of Kaisercraft 12x12 paper called Botanical from the Timeless Collection
Hobby Art Old Crock clear stamp set
I also used Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear glue as it grabs and sticks really well
Place your paper face down and fold back about 3"at the top
Then fold in the sides to meet in the middle and slightly overlap
Glue the edges together (or use sticky tape)
Fold the bottom up 2" or 3"
You can vary the height and depth of your bag by changing the size of your fold
Open and flatten the fold
Fold the top edge down and the bottom edge up to overlap a little, then
glue and stick together (or use sticky tape)
Punch two holes at the top of the bag
Make a tag
Cut two lengths of ribbon and thread the tag on to one
Make handles by threading each end of the ribbon through the holes in the bag
and make knots inside
For a different look, use patterned paper
The sizes are approximately
height 8"
width 5"
depth 2"
Have a great weekend

A fabulous gift bag and tag. Looks fairly straightforward too so will have to give it a go.

Both of these are fabulous and the papers you have used are gorgeous! The top one looks like faux snakeskin - love that! Karen x
ReplyDeleteI do love this textured paper, a bit like leather, gorgeous! I am filing the bag idea as it uses a whole sheet (no waste, no cutting!) and it's a way of using the papers that don't make it to the album!
ReplyDeleteLove these bags and they seem quite straightforward. Will look for a Fathers Day present to fit whatever size mine turn out!!! Thank you, Jan
ReplyDeleteHi, thank-you for such a great idea, this will be great in any colour, xx
ReplyDeleteI like the textured card . This could be useful for any gifts not just fathers day. Nice clear instructions.
ReplyDeletelooks great for any occasion. thanks for continued inspiration.
