Good morning everyone and what a beautiful morning it is, long may it continue........
As promised, I am going to show you how to get the distressed borders on the texture card below and show you some other textures in detail.....
Here is how it is done........
First take a sheet of Double Sided Adhesive Sheet and cut in to your desired size strips, unpeel one size of the sheet and stick it to your card or area on your project that you are working on.
I have stuck a strip below a piece I have already foiled to give you something to compare to......
.
Then remove the other side of the Adhesive Film......
Next take a sheet of gold Transferable Foil or colour of your choice and place shiny side towards you on top of the Adhesive Film......
Using a dry piece of kitchen towel rub the shiny side of the foil evenly to make sure it all transfers to the adhesive.....
Once you pull off the foil it will transfer perfectly ( missed this picture, sorry!! ) Then take your finger and rub the foil in areas to remove some of the gold and distress it like below.....
Then take a co-ordinating colour foil and put straight on top and then rub vigorously with the kitchen towel to transfer the foil.........
Keep applying until you are happy with the result......
If you look at the card you will notice that I did the opposite on some of the textured panels using the brown first and then the gold to give a great contrast.....
The textured panels below are made various ways........
The one to the left is a sheet of metal card which I sell at my workshops. I don't put it on the website, because unfortunately, it is a nightmare to post as it bends easily. Here are some examples below that have been put through an embossing folder and sanded back.......
The first is the before and then I have done an emboss and a deboss to give you the contrast....
The other panels on the right of the picture is card that has been embossed and then I have inked them up with a Clear Emboss Pad and then added Stamp and Bond on top and heated and then again added the Transferable Foil on top......
You can use any colour of the foils. Here is a closer look..........
To finish the card I stamped on the background with the Woodware Clear Magic
Cogs & Gears stamp & Vintage Sepia Versafine ink & the sentiment is from the Old Crock stamp set from Hobby Art.
I hope that you have enjoyed the technique and you give it a go, it is great fun......
I will be back soon with some more inspiration......
Big hugs Lisa.B.xx
