Pimpernel & Honeycomb

 

Good morning, happy Monday & happy bank holiday Monday, if it's a holiday where you are. As I write this on Sunday night, the weather doesn't look being all that great for us in Kent, so I hope you have lots of sunshine today. I made a card to show you today, using the Pimpernel Elements stamp set, the Honeycomb stencil & the stencil paints, all from Imagination Crafts.........

 

 

I applied the paints - Mallow, Rose, Bluebell, Vanillla - through the stencil with a

domed stencil brush, onto white Super Smooth card, using small amounts of paint & working them into the brush first by swirling it on my craft mat.

 

Then I stamped the Pimpernel, the greeting & the bubbles stamps from the Poppy Collage set on top with Onyx Black Versafine.

 

 

I added a few gold sequins from my stash for a little bit of bling.

Clematis Collage Clock

 

Good morning, hope everyone enjoyed the weekend. The weather was gorgeous here, it was so nice to spend time in the garden. My project is the smaller of the Imagination Crafts MDF clocks set, decorated with the Clematis Collage stamp set..............

 

 

 

After covering the clock with a few coats of white gesso, I painted it with a cream acrylic paint & while that was still wet, I added streaks of Dark Brown Brusho, mixed with water. When that was dry, I sprinkled on some Light Brown Brusho & flicked water on top, then set it aside to dry completely...........

 

 

I stamped  the Clematis Collage stamp in the centre with embossing ink & heat set with

gold embossing powder. I applied Black Soot distress ink through the Imagination Crafts

Honeycomb stencil...............

 

 

 

I stamped the collage stamp onto Centura Pearl Hint of Gold card, heat setting again with gold EP & cut out the flowers & adhered them to the clock with Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue...........

 

 

 

 

I finished the clock with card candi for the numbers & gold adhesive gems in the centres of the flowers..............

Botanical Collage Coasters Set

Good morning, Kirsten here. I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Between crafting, gardening & housework I completely forgot about this blog post, so apologies for the late posting. I'll make it short & sweet. Today's project is the set of square MDF coasters from Candy Box Crafts, decorated with stamps from the Botanical Collage collection, designed by Lisa for Imagination Crafts.......

 

 

 

 

I prepared all the pieces by painting them a few times with white gesso, sanded that down slightly when completely dry, then painted the pieces with a few coats of matte acrylic paint & applied gesso through the Imagination Crafts Honeycomb stencil with a stencil brush.

 

Using Onyx Black Versafine ink, I stamped one side of each coaster with the Poppy Elements stamps........

 

 

And the other side with stamps from the Pimpernel Elements set........

 

 

 

 

 I stamped the holder pieces with stamps from the Clematis Collage set...........

 

 

 

 All the images were coloured with Spectrum Aqua pens from the Floral set & I painted all the edges with Bronze Brocade Silkies paint............

 

 

 

 

 And that's it. These coasters are great. It's very easy to put  the holder together - I used

Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue - and I think they'd make a nice gift, or a cute addition to your craft table.

 

Just remember; if you want to put a hot cup on the coasters, you'd have to seal them with a heat-proof sealant first.

 

I'm delighted to say that we've had some entries in the new blog challenge already, here's hoping for lots more.
