Lavinia House by the Stream

Hello crafters, I hope you are all well, I can't believe we are into September already, where does the time go.
Today's card is again using Brusho's and Lavinia and also incorporated a bit of paper piercing, watercolouring, stencilling and bling.
So, using a 7" x 7" card I matted it with black then some watercolour card.  Using the Brusho's I like to spritz my craft mat with water before peppering the Ultra Marine and Yellow then spritzing again to make the colours run, I laid the card onto the mat and picked up as much of the colour then just mop with a piece of kitchen towel, then repeat as many times until I get, what I consider to be, the right result.
Once dry, the heat gun helps here, I stamped with my favourite Hobby Art Decorative Background stamps and also the Stampendous Vintage Contract Script using Stormy Sky Distress Ink before stencilling the Imagination Craft Leaf Swirl using Mowed Lawn Distress Ink.
I decided to use the following Lavinia Stamps to create the scene.
Lavinia Fairy Bridge (No longer available)
Lavinia Large Path (No longer available)
Lavinia Spring Trees
(I'm really sorry about some of the above being out of stock, however, I'm sure you are all confident enough to create your own scenes, Lavinia have loads to choose from)

I used Versafine to stamp them all.  I created the scene by masking the house and the path before stamping the bridge and then drew in some finishing lines etc.  At this point I thought I would cut out the centre of the card with the image so I could glue it flat and raise the outer border.  So used the biggest circle cutter I had to do this and finished off the image by colouring in using watercolour pencils 33% off and £5 on the web at the moment.  I stamped the little house again, coloured in the roof and cut that out before putting on some Glamour Dust and gluing it in place.  Then decided the trees needed to be added at the side so again masked the house and only stamped the top part of the trees and not the trunks.

I decided it needed something in the foreground so stamped one each of the Spotty Toadstools onto some white card and coloured in with red watercolour pencil and made the white spots stand out using a white gel pen.  I also used that on the little top of the house and little dots on the door step.

Here are the elements:

I mounted the card together by matting the black card directly onto the card, then mounted the frame using foam pads then made sure I had the image lined up before gluing into place with Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue  Then glued the cut out toadstools so they overlapped the image slightly.

Thanks for dropping by and see you again very soon
Love Jan -x-

  4. Jan, this is so beautiful. I love the scene you created, it looks straight out of Fairyland. And you've reminded me that I have that set of houses, I must use them again.
