September Class in Maidstone

Hello blog visitors, Kirsten here again, this time bringing you a report on Friday's classes in Maidstone. Both classes were madly busy, but great fun. The theme was Masterboards - using paint, stencils & stamping to create layered backgrounds, then using the backgrounds to make cards. This is one of Lisa's samples, she will be telling you how she made it in her blog posts in the coming weeks..............

As usual, the promotion table were groaning under the weight of new crafting goodies.......

 Dylusions paints.................

Starlight Metallic paint from Imagination Crafts.............

New stamps from Hobby Art.............

New home decor items from Anna Marie Designs & Art-Cutz from Imagination Crafts...............

And so much more all around the hall...........................

There were all sorts of techniques going on.........

Stamping & stenciling..............

Brayering..................

Painting with the Starlights..................

(You should have heard the 'oohs' & 'ahhs' when that was being done!)

Then, of course, there were the masterboards............... 

Lisa & I got so much enjoyment from watching everyone create their backgrounds. It's always fascinating to see people's take on an idea, even when the colour combinations were the same, the finished pieces were completely different............

Some of the ladies chose to cut up their first background to make cards & others carried on making more masterboards. Here's a few of the finished cards...............
