I Have Gone All Dylusional!........

Good morning all, it's been great fun trying to do this blog post. For the last three days, the internet connection has been somewhat naughty and keeps going down, so as you can imagine, I have been tearing my hair out!!!!!

Anyway, its ok at the minute........

Well, what a fabulous class we had on Friday! The atmosphere was lovely, the ladies were so excited to be making their own backgrounds (masterboards) from scratch. It is such a satisfying process and you get to make an original every time. The lovely thing is that even if you gave two people exactly the same colours, stencils and stamps and put them in two different rooms (so as not to copy one another) they would look entirely different!

I apologise, lots of items sold out at the class on Friday, but I am busy re-ordering them and they will be back in stock very soon. I will let you know when they are back on the website.....

I have to say that I have gone completely Dylusional and have totally fallen in love with these paints, they are so lovely to use and I love their vibrancy. Kirsten did a fabulous post on Monday, which gave you step by step instructions of how she made her background and if you missed it, you can catch up HERE .......

Below is a masterboard that I made, sorry it is only a small part of it. I got too excited and had some ideas for cards straight away and started chopping it up before I took a photo!!

I won't go in to how I created the master board today as I have no step by step photos, but I am going to do a complete step by step tutorial on 23rd September and I will take a photo at every stage to show you how I do the process from start to finish.......

Below are three cards that I made from the A4 masterboard and I still have off cuts over to do more....

You can really see how simple these cards can be but they look so good.

For the first card........

I have just chosen a section and cut a border of the master board away and matted it on black card, I made it slightly longer than the card ( 7" x 7" card ).
I stamped my image on to the card where I wanted it, I used
Stampendous Flower Fields. I then also stamped the stems of the flower on the left hand side of the border.

I used Jet Black Stazon ink, you need to use this or Archival. You can use Versafine but it must be heat embossed to set it on the paint, otherwise it will wipe off.
Next I attached the border to the card lining up the stems with the stamped image and trimming off the excess border.
Then I stamped the flower heads on to my master board and cut them out and paper pieced them in place with Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue. I used a couple of Pro Markers to add colour to the leaves and stems.
I wanted to add a message so I chose Stampendous Follow Your Art and added it to the top right corner again with Stazon. It needed a little more, so I used my favourite stamp set of splodges, the Limor Webber Ink Splats.
I stamped three as shown below and then I was done, it was so easy.......
