Dylusions & Flowers

Hi there crafters, sorry but it's a brief blog from me too this week, very hectic at home and work.
So today's card is using the Dylusions as a Master Board and paper piercing some stamped flowers.

So to create the Master Board using Super Smooth card and I done the normal corner, corner, side technique using the Dylusions Postbox Red and Lemon Zest then toned it all down by brayering some White Linen all over the card.  I then used the Imagination Craft Diamond Stencil and The Crafters Workshop Mini Tiny Circles.  I wanted to use the new Hickory Smoke Distress Ink so used it to stamp the Indigo Blu Ink Splats onto the master board.  Then finished off with Imaginations Crafts Platinum Starlight's using  the new tools on the block, spritzer bottle cap and Blood Donor Card :o)

I used a 7" x 7" card and flat matted some masterboard onto some black card.  Then using the Woodware Spring Flowers Stamp,  lined it up where I wanted it to go knowing that if I stamped on the matted card it wouldn't fully stamp onto the base card properly.  So I stamped up with the Stazon and pressed down as best I could to get a good image, I wasn't too worried at this point as I knew I was going to stamp the image again onto the master board and cut the flowers out and glue them in place, which I did.  So after cutting out the flowers and the buds I stuck them on using the Cosmic Shimmer Glue, I thought it all looked a bit flat so I added some Glossy Accents to lift it.  I must say at this point I was very pleased with the result, as you can see in the close up below the Glossy Accents highlighted the Platinum Starlight to their maximum effect, (happy accident).

I stamped a few splats around the base card and using the Card-io Combinations Collection I stamped a small sentiment to finish it off.

Again sorry it's brief but I hope you enjoyed it and see you again next Friday.

Love Jan -x-
