Inka Gold Workshop - A Review

Good evening, Kirsten here. Today I have been mostly hiding from the sun - it is HOT. I hope you're all managing to keep cool. Yesterday was class day in Maidstone & because it's so close to Lisa's annual Crafting Extravaganza day, which takes an enormous amount of preparation, she decided to try doing a one day workshop, where everyone created one large project from start to finish. The ladies had the choice of either a mirror or a journal.

Here they are at the end of the day, projects completed............

But long before that, embellishments had to be chosen & attached & the messy business of painting everything with gesso had to be completed..............

After a break for refreshments & a couple of demoes from Lisa, it was time to start applying the gorgeous Inka Gold metallic paints...........

It was so hot that the paints were drying extra fast, so judicious use of water & baby wipes was required to try to keep them moist enough for working with.

Then it was time to see the finished projects............

Mirrors...............

Journals................

Here's a very proud Pauline, with her mirror.......

I love that they're all so different & I think you'll agree that they all did a fantastic job.

And this is only a few of the projects, I will add the rest to an album in the

Enormous thanks to everyone who joined us yesterday. Feedback so far has very positive, so Lisa might consider doing more one day workshops, watch this space...........

I will be back in the morning with a new blog challenge & the winner of the June challenge (still a few hours left to enter...)

Enjoy your Saturday evening.

Kirsten
