Morning all,
Wow..... how quick has the last week gone, my feet have not touched the ground since I came back from my hols with only a week and a half until my Extravaganza Day!
Kirsten and I are working really hard behind the scenes and have some great things in store for you on the day????
Well on to this months inspiration and the gorgeous Viva Décor Inka Gold Paints.......what can I say that Kirsten did not say in here superb post on Monday HERE?????
They are blooming fantastic to use and you can do so much with them but the best thing I love about them is the fantastic sheen that they give once they have been buffed up!
I thought in my first post that I would show you the original projects that the ladies based their own makes around at the Inka Gold Workshop last Friday and WOW did they do a fantastic job, if you missed the post about the class, here is a reminder HERE.
They had the choice of either making a mirror or a mini Journal and the class did a beautiful job on them, many of the ladies using the paints for the first time but took to it like a duck to water......
Here is the mirror that I made in readiness for the class:
I used various embossing folders to create texture on the background of the mirror and then added lots of embellishments to it. The flowers were cut from grey board using my Tim Holts tattered florals die and I used various Sizzix dies to cut other letters and shapes......
Once applies I coated the whole project with Deco Art Media Black Gesso ( I have to say one of the best gesso's on the market), you really don't need to plaster it on as it gives great coverage........
I then applied the Inka Gold paints with my finger to bring the whole piece to life......
I really love these pots of paint and know that they will be something that I have out in my studio all the time.....
Here is the journal that I made to give them inspiration.......
The key is a metal embellishment on the website HERE.....
I just love the sheen from these paints.......
Lovely texture......
Well I hope that we are inspiring you to have a go with the paints, they are so much fun and you could always make something to enter in to my blog challenge this month HERE, you can win a £20.00 e-voucher to spend on the website......
Well that is all from me for now, until next time, have a great week.....
Hugs Lisa B x
