Hello crafters, hope you're all well.
One of the most popular products on the website & at the classes at the moment is the
Anna Marie Designs Trellis card & on this card I've used it as stencil.........
Anna Marie Designs Trellis card & on this card I've used it as stencil.........
I cut a piece of Super Smooth white card & used stencil tape to secure it to a piece of the trellis card.........
I used three different Distress inks; Worn Lipstick, Wild Honey & Squeezed Lemonade through the trellis, making sure I got different depths of colour.........
I applied black Stazon ink through the TCW Reverse Chickenwire stencil as well. I die cut the beautiful butterfly from Super Smooth, attached it to the card with Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear glue & with my finger, added a little Diamond Sparkle Medium to the wings. The quote is from the Card-io Collection stamp set Say It With Flowers & the finished piece was matted & layered onto orange core'dinations card & a 7x7 card blank...............
NB The butterfly dies sold out at last week's class, but they can be ordered from Lisa. Phone her on 01622 675078, or send her an email; lisabaker1@btinternet.com
Thanks for looking, see you next time.

ReplyDeleteKirsten - thank you for the inspiration of inking through the trellis. I bought some of these at Lisa's last workshop but was only going to use as backing behind flowers. Beautiful card!

ReplyDeleteLove it! clever idea to stencil through the card...must try that! Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteA really stunning card - I love how you have used a precut piece of card to create the background and by inking through it you have one background and the trellis card is ready to use for another. Thank you for sharing! Karen x
