Good morning, happy Friday. Kirsten here with another of my event day samples.
I think this would be a nice piece of home decor. I painted the frame with gesso first, then with a few layers of
Sea Lavender Martha Stewart paint & finished with tiny amounts of Diamond Sparkle Medium through the TCW Sketch Grid stencil…………

One handy hint regarding these frames…. They’re made from cardboard & they’re not solid, so when painting them, try to let the paint dry naturally. Experience has taught me that the frames tend to crack if a heat tool is used to dry the paint – makes sense when you think about it; the heat causes the cardboard to expand, then it contracts as it cools & that’s when the cracking occurs.
I painted three pieces of white Super Smooth card with Geranium, Meadowlark & Blue Sky MS paints, stamped ‘Georgina’ by Jane Gill for Woodware onto each with embossing ink, heat set with WOW Bright White embossing powder & cut out the flowers…….
I added a Hobby House pearl brad to the centres & used varying amounts of foam pads to attach them to the frame to get a slight difference in height…………
Lisa sells these frames at her classes – they’re very light, but are expensive to post because of their size (various sizes available).
Speaking of the classes, being the first Friday of the month, today is class day. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone & as always, the shop will be open from 2.30 this afternoon to 9.30 tonight.
Until next time, happy crafting.
Kirsten
