A Little Vintage......

*This post is part of the January promotion fortnight. Remember to leave a comment to be entered in the giveaway.*

Morning all,

Apologies for the lateness of this post, I had scheduled it with pictures and was so tired last night that I forgot to do the write up and Blogger posted it this morning, so sorry for that and this is round two!!......

Ok, so as we are doing the Hobby Art promotion fortnight I thought that I would show you a couple of makes that I made for the fabulous Hobby Art not so long ago using their gorgeous Vintage Stamp Set.......

This first make was a card and I used some coloured sort of distressed looking paper for the background before I stamped on it. We are all so quick to grab a piece of white card and start stamping our images but I often stamp on to coloured or printed card or paper as it adds another texture to the piece. I began by adding a continuous border using the lace stamp from the set, I used Versafine Vintage Sepia Ink and then embossed it with Wow Clear Embossing Powder, I also did the same with the postmark stamp. I then Stamped the air balloon slightly off of my paper using Versafine Onyx Black and then also added the Eiffel Tower in black too. All of the images were embossed with Wow Clear Embossing Powder.......

I then added some water mark post marks and swirls using Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap Distress inks. I also used my Pro-Marker to add a touch of colour to the images.......

For the background of the card I used a swirl stamp from Flourishes, I love this stamp set and use it a lot in my backgrounds. Again I inked them with Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap......

I added a couple of brown distressed card strips and some card candi. For the embossed postcard panel I used a Tim Holts embossing folder on to brown co-ordination card, distressed it back and then added some Flitter Glue to the raised areas. I then used a sheet of Transfer Foil on top and rubbed it all over the raised area and then pulled it off and it leaves a fantastic metallic look to the embossed piece.....
I finished off with some  cogs that I coloured with Distress Ink and foiled in the same way....

The next one was made on pretty much the same way but was done on a canvas, I love playing around with canvasses and are going to hols some workshops on them this year......
Well that is all from me for today, I do hope that you have enjoyed the inspiration and I will be back next week.....

Have a lovely weekend....

Hugs Lisa B xx
