Creative Palette Backgrounds, part two

Good morning, Kirsten here. Just a quick post to show you the cards I made from the two backgrounds I shared in Tuesday's post.

The first one is the direct to paper background.................

I blended Antique Linen distress ink on top & splattered a mix of gesso & water over that - the result is quite a wintry look I thought. I used the same stamps, from Hobby Art Decorative Backgrounds set & Anna's Collection - Just For You set, inked with Versacolor inks for the focal image.

(The 30% off regular Hobby Art stamps will end on Saturday at midnight)

The second card is the Creative Palette background left as it was..........

That's it for today. Thanks for looking. Have a great weekend & don't forget to visit the Mega Sale page on the website, there are still quite a few bargains to be had.

Kirsten.

  1. I love both of the cards. The first one looks really toned down with the Antique Linen. That is a lovely stamp. Thank you, Jan

  2. Another lovely card made with your Creative Palette background. This inspires me to have a play this week end and create backgrounds of my own! Hope I get the time...

  3. These are beautiful! Does the creative palette take any inks that gelli plate can't?

    1. Hello Debe, thanks for the kind comment. All the inks I've tried, from Distress to Brilliance, etc., dry very quickly on the creative palette. I've recently bought a Gelli Plate & I'm looking forward to experimenting with it.
