Morning all,

As promised and we are still in the Hobby Art promotion fortnight I thought that I would show you another make today that I made for Hobby Art using the lovely Butterflies again:

Now on to the make.....

I absolutely love making canvasses, mirrors and frames so I thought that I would make a frame....

These frames are available at my monthly workshops. I took the frame which is cardboard underneath and gave it a couple of coats of white gesso, drying it in between the layers....

Using the Imagination crafts Diamonds Stencil and some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink I added some soft muted layers of texture top the frame and then went over the top of the frame again top right and bottom left adding some heavier inked layers with the stencil and ink to add more dimension....
For the centre picture of the frame I measured it and but a piece of blue card and stuck it inside. I then cut a piece of super smooth card  to fit it and then using the Silhouette Grasses stamp and  Versafine  Black Onyx I stamped the grasses slightly off of the bottom of the white square to the right hand side. I then heat embossed using Wow Clear Sparkle Powder for a little sparkle.......

I did the same with the cluster of small butterflies to the top right and  and the collage message from the set and also stamped a small butterfly under the message. I then used Tumbled Glass Distress ink and a blending tool and added some colour around the edge of the white card working in lightly towards the stamped images. Next I loaded a paint brush with water and then flicked over the image, allowed the water to soak in for a few seconds and then blotted off with kitchen towel. You end up removing some of the colour and get great texture....

I attached the image to the centre of the frame on top of the blue card to give a nice border. On a separate piece of white card I stamped five butterflies and added a little colour with Pro-markers and then cut them out. I 3D'd the wings and then attached them to the frame using Cosmic Shimmer Glue, I also stamped a small silhouette butterfly on to the top right of the frame.....

I wanted to add a couple of sentiments to the frame so I used the Hobby Art Alphabet Set:

This is a fabulous distressed looking stamp set that I use a lot and is on offer with the 30% off of Hobby Art at the moment HERE......

I lined up and spelt the words Live and Dream on an acrylic block and stamped them in onyx black on to a piece of white card and then embossed them. I tore around the outside of them and then matted them on to black card and then tore around the outside of the black too. I then attached them to the frame as shown.....
To finish off i added some random dots to the picture frame using Silver Stickles.....

I hope that you enjoyed my picture frame as much as I enjoyed making it, until next time......

Hugs Lisa B xx
