Hello blog visitors, thanks for stopping by.
Question: What do you do if you have a tiny gift & the discarded cardboard insert from a loo roll?
Answer: you make a pillow gift box.............
I found the idea for this online somewhere, but I can't remember the website. They're so easy. Just use a bone folder to flatten the roll, score each end, using something round, a jam jar lid for example, then decorate.
I painted the one above with Martha Stewart paints, stamped a few Card-io Majestix flowers with Vintage Sepia Versafine ink & added Chartreuse Sparkle Medium through the
TCW Chickenwire Reversed stencil.
TCW Chickenwire Reversed stencil.
Then I made a second one..........
Painted with Hailstorm MS paint, stamped the Kaisercraft Bubble Wrap stamp with Plum Archival ink.............
Added MS Pollen paint with a baby wipe............
Stamped the Weaving Ivy stamp from Lavinia Stamps with Black Archival ink - I wanted a patchy appearance, so used Archival instead of the Onyx Black Versafine ink that you would normally use with Lavinia stamps..........
Added Soft Purple Sparkle Medium through the TCW Chickenwire Reversed stencil as above.........
I stamped the 'Elizabeth Bennet' image twice onto shrink plastic with black Stazon ink, punched a hole in them & heated until they shrank, then attached them with baker's twine to tiny tags I made with scrap card, distress inks & a corner rounder punch.
I have one final Indigo Blu project to show you & I shall do that in the morning. See you then & thanks for looking.

ReplyDeleteI'm trying to make sure that I have caught up with my comments and I have had a lot of fun and inspiration seeing what you lovely ladies have created. Seriously fabulous trinket boxes, love how you have decorated them and the lady stamp on both colours of tags is gorgeous! Thank you for all the inspiration with the IB stamps this month. Hope you have a lovely weekend Karen x
