Good Morning Peeps,
How are we all today? Fed up with the wet stuff yet?
We have certainly had a lot in Kent in the last few days!
Well today is a quick little post, following on from the my last one I thought that I would show you what I did with the waste circle that I cut away from one of the class card pictured below that I featured in my post last week. If you missed it then its HERE and you can see how I created the circle with Brushos........
Sticking with a similar theme of these naughty little fairies throwing around paint splats I thought that I would create a background first so I took an Imagination Crafts Hexagons stencil and added some Hickory Smoke Distress Ink through it with a Blending Tool to add some texture to the background of a piece of white super smooth card, I also edged the square lightly with it too.
I then laid on my circle that I had die cut away from the previous card and then decided what I wanted to use. I chose and stamped the Lavinia Stamps Spotty Toadstools using Onyx Black Versafine Ink on to a piece of Watercolour Card and then embossed them with Wow Clear Embosing Powder. Then I made a watercolour wash with my Brusho crystals using Lime and Yellow and painted the toadstools in to match my die cut circle. When dry I cut them out.......
After laying out the pieces on the card, I decided I wanted to add two fairies, some bubbles and splats. So I attached the circle and mushrooms using Cosmic Shimmer Glue. Then I added some Lavinia Stamp Bubbles which I painted in with the brushos wash that I had left, I added two fairies from Lavinia Stamps Three Small Fairies stamp and some splats from IndigoBlu Ink Splats.
Lastly I added some Glossy Accents to the bubbles......
I really enjoyed making this card from the left over circle and I just love the Spotty Toadstools and find any excuse to use them ;0) .......
I hope that you have enjoyed the inspiration and I will be back soon with more......
Big hugs
Lisa B xx
I love these cards. The black & white backgrounds really make the colours pop.
