Hello crafters, wow what a lot of rain we've had down south, a whole month's worth in 9 hours, so the BBC news said.
Well, today's card is based on the technique we learned at the August Workshop. First of all, sorry to say that I totally forgot to take some photos as I went along, but I will explain in detail how I put it together :o)
First of all, I took a white 6 x 6 card and cut a black mat then a white mat. I then put a little moon mask on the white card and sprinkled some Brusho's as follows: Aqua Marine for the sky, the top third, then yellow and scarlet in the next two thirds. I then spritzed the whole page until it was running with colour and laid a piece of kitchen roll over the whole card to mop up the excess, which, by the way, does take some of the intense colour off too, but I was happy with that.
The next job was to add a bit of stamping using the Hobby Art Decorative Background using Adirondack Stonewash, stamping it several times randomly over the card, Then used the Imagination Craft Bubble Stencil to add a little more interest and also used Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.
I then decided what Lavinia stamps I was going to use and how I would stamp them out, so searched by stash and found a few favourites and one new one and stamped them with Versafine Back Onyx

As you can see by the finished card I added a few of them :o) I then thought it needed a little bit of bling so stuck a piece of double sided adhesive sheet onto white card then punch it out using a 1" circle punch, removed the protective sheet then sprinkled on the Glamour Dust before pasting it onto the moon circle........
Well that's it for today, I hope you're enjoying the Brusho's and Lavinia, see you next week.
Lovely card Jan, the layers of stencilling & stamping look great.
ReplyDeleteLovely Brushos background, softer than I have achieved but the mopping up is a good idea.
