Good morning all,
I do hope that you are all having a good week, shame about the change in weather but we can't have it all the time, at least it is not so muggy now!
Today I thought I would show you some of the samples that I made as inspiration for the first card of the class last Friday which the theme was Brushos with Lavinia Stamps.
For the first three cards I used Woodware Watercolour Card and spritzed a square of it liberally with water. I then added two colours of Brusho Crystals and then spritzed with more water. Then I picked up the card and let the colours bleed in to each other to merge, I then took a piece of dry kitchen towel, placed it on top and lightly blotted off to remove some of the colour. I do this when I am going to add stencilling and stamping on top of Brushos as the colour can be too dark and you just don't see the layers clear enough when building up the picture.
Next I took a stencil of my choice and added some Hickory Smoke Distress Ink through it with a blending tool to add some texture to the background. I then added a main focal stamps using Onyx Black Versafine Ink and Lavinia Silhouette House Pods with Stampendous Follow Your Art Stamp. The to finish off I added some Lavinia Stamps Bubbles and coloured them in with a water colour wash of the same colour Brushos that I had used and added some highlights with a white pen. They were then simply layered on to black card and then on the cards.......
