Good morning, happy Monday. Thanks to everyone for all the kind words about the Christmas party classes, if you missed the photos from last Friday, you can see them HERE.
We're carrying on the Starlights theme this month, because we love them so much & for my project today I also used;
TCW Mini Dancing Leaves stencil
Sue Wilson Trailing Ivy (sold out)
I wanted a random background so I applied Dried Rose & Antique Pink Starlights to white Super Smooth card as you would apply Distress inks, with a circular blending tool & foam, I made sure to work the paint well into the foam & built up the layers of colour, adding a little Silver here & there.
When the background was dry, I applied the translucent paste through the stencil, removed the stencil & sprinkled Crystal Glitter on top, followed by tiny amounts of gold embossing powder. I set the card aside to dry overnight.
The next day I heat the embossing powder & brushed off the excess glitter.
I painted white Super Smooth with Dried Rose Starlights & another piece with a mix of Rich Gold & Platinum, then die cut the pieces with a scallop edged circle die, the Leane Creatief Multi Flower die & the Sue Wilson Trailing Ivy .
I finished the card with some matting & layering onto a 7x7 white card blank, clear adhesive gems & the Stampendous Merry Christmas, stamped with Versamark & heat set with Gold EP.
Please note that many items sold out at Friday's classes. The website will be updated throughout today, so items listed as presently available might not be. We will keep you updated via the
Lisa B Designs Facebook page.
The new blog challenge began yesterday. The theme is 'anything goes at Christmas' & if you use Starlights on your project, you will get an extra entry.
I'll be back next Monday with another of my December projects. Until then, thanks for visiting the blog today & have a great week.
