Last Christmas

Hello there crafters, well I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and looking forward to the New Year and all it brings.

This is my last post for 2015 and thought I'd do one last Christmas card :o)

For the Christmas Card I started with a 7" x 7" card and layered it with some dark green pearlised card, then cut a piece of Super Smooth White and stamped it with one of Christmas Sentiments from the Card-io Collection using Memento before embossing  it with one of Creative Expressions Christmas folders and matted all the card into place.

I used a Mini Holly striplet die, as you can see it's quite an open die so lends itself to using velum and painted with Starlights.  I cut the die with white card, then cut a strip of velum the same size, placed the die over the velum and traced the outside of the holly leaves with a pencil.

I then painted inside the tracing with the Green Starlights then glued the die in place over the velum.  Painted the berries with a little Red Starlights straight from the bottle.   I then created a frame to go around the holly die and matted it using foam pads.  I glued the cut out piece into place on one side of the card and finished off with a little holly embellishment painted with Green Starlights and Red Diamond gems for the berries (Sorry but sold out on the website at the moment, pop back when in stock)

Here's the card again with some close ups:

That's it for now, I hope you all have a wonderful New Year and look forward to blogging again in January.
