Feeling Arty......

*This post is part of the February promotion fortnight. Remember to leave a comment to be entered in the giveaway.*

Good morning bloggers,

So again this is another sample that I made for my last workshop using stencils, Distress inks and stamps. It is a really simple but effective card again.....

I used a Tim Holtz stencil for the background but I cannot for the life of me remember what it is called. I used Barn Door and Scattered Straw Distress inks very lightly through the stencil to add some background colour.....

I then stamped using Versafine Onyx Black Ink with IndigoBlu Live, Laugh, Love stamp set, I used one of the flowers and stamped across three areas of the card and embossed them with Wow Clear Powder and also added a sentiment to the centre of the card and some texture using another IndigoBlu texture background stamp.

I made a watercolour wash using both of the ink pads separately and then painted in some detail on the stamped areas of the flowers. A little matting and layering
of black first to make it pop and then red to bring out the colour and then on to my card.....

That is all from me for now, I will be back next week with more inspiration, have a lovely day.....

Hugs Lisa B xxx

  3. That has so much more depth and that only becomes apparent after looking at it for a while. The 'texture' from the stencils is brilliant and the colours you've used are different but work beautifully. Will have to try those colours out soon. Thanks for the chance and the awesome inspiration Karen x
