Ter-wit Ter-woo...

Hi Blog People

This week I made two cards with a Woodware Clear Magic stamp
called What A Hoot which is available HERE.
I don't usually go for cute, but I just loved this little Owl when I saw it.
For both projects I used Craftwork Cards 148x148mm straight edge card blanks.

I started by using my Spellbinders m-bossabilities folder EL-009  to emboss a piece of Tim Holtz Core'dinations Kraft Core Nostalgic Collection No. 14 which is the green colour.  I then embossed a smaller piece of Core'dinations Whitewash Collection Grandpa's Trunk which is the white colour and sanded both to reveal the kraft colour cores.
Using Versafine Vintage Sepia I stamped the owl on to a 12x12 paper by The ScrapCake - The Bright Side of Life collection - Natural Beauty and re-stamped it on to another paper by The ScrapCake - One Moment in Time Collection - Each Day I Live and cut it out.   I attached the owl to the first image using Photoglue.  With promarkers, I coloured the branch and leaves and also added a bit of extra colour to the owl.  I used a metal ruler to run around the edges of each piece of paper and card to roughen them a little and then used the chisel end of a brown tone promarker to randomly add colour.  The flowers were made with a LeCrea Multi Die Flower No. 2 and cream Core'dinations cardstock which I sanded back slightly.  I added a little colour with promarkers to help them blend in with the background.  I further embellished with Hobby House brads, Candi and Knotted Organza ribbon in the colour ivory.

For this card I applied Versafine Black Onyx to stamp the owl on to Neenah card.  I used promarkers to colour the image and cut it out before I covered the breast, nose and outer edge with Stickles Star Dust.  I used Distress Ink Bundled Sage to blend colour on to an embossed square which I matted and layered on to paper by The ScrapCake - One Moment in Time - Each Day I Live and then on to Core'dinations Kraft Core Nostalgic Collection No. 14.
I attached the the owl image using some 3D foam and Photoglue and finished off with Petaloo Hydrangeas.

All of the papers, card and embossed frames are available at Lisa's monthly Friday workshops at Fant Hall, Barming, Maidstone, Kent ME16 8NN.

I hope you all have a good week and find a little time to indulge in some crafting.
