Indigo Blu Mixed Media Papers, part 1

Good morning crafters, Kirsten here. I hope you all had a lovely weekend. I'd like to show three cards today that with a change of sentiment would be great as Father's Day cards. Using the Imagination Crafts rice papers on other projects inspired Lisa & I to also use the very nice
Mixed Media 6x6 papers from Indigo Blu.

As I came to write this post I realised that all the details of the papers I used are in the cards, which I gave to Lisa last week, so I shall do my best to remember......

This card uses the gramophone image from the Belle Epoque set, two sheets of background papers from the Flights of Fancy set & a piece from the Fontastic Ephemera set.

I applied Distress ink through the Craft Emotions Music Bars mask, stamped the Imagination Crafts Script Art Stamp with a brown ink & stamped with embossing ink stamps from the Indigo Blu
Limor Webber Ink Splats & Limor Circles sets, then heat set with WOW!'s Gold Rich embossing powder. I cut out the gramophone from the second piece in the set, covered it with embossing ink & heat set with WOW!'s Clear Gloss EP, then adhered it to the top layer with 3D foam squares. The sentiment is Stampendous Graceful Birthday stamp............

The next card uses sheets from the Vintage Memories 6x6 set. I added stencilling with
That's Crafty Dinky stencils, more gold embossing with the Limor Webber stamps, I used a Tim Holtz die from my stash on the top later & decoupaged the book & the quill pen. As with the first card I distressed the edges of each layer, as well as tearing some pieces & turning down a corner or two ..........

My final card for today also uses sheets from the Belle Epoque set. I added stencilling & heat embossing as before & used a wooden embellishment from Craft Emotions, painted with Topaz & Antique Gold Starlights. I sponged Starlights around the outside of the card blank too.............

I had fun making these cards, the papers are great to work with & it was nice to make some vintage style cards for a change. I'll be back with a few more of these cards next weeks.
