Lisa B Stamps with Imagination Crafts.....

Good morning all,

Me again, I know, three times in one week......what do they say? Once, twice, three times a lady, lol!!!

Anyway, back to the crafting........

Today I thought that I would show you a sneak preview of my new stamps that I have hand drawn and designed for Imagination Crafts. These are just three of the nine designs that I have done and I will let you know when they are going to be available as soon as I know......

I have chosen to show you these three as I have created backgrounds on them but this time with Stencil Paint rather than inks, I used it on the last Imagination Crafts Show on Create and Craft and am hooked on the stuff, so I will be stocking it very soon!! You can do sooo much with it, its amazing stuff.....

This first stamp is called Poppy Elements.....

With each stamp set you not only get a main image, you get all the elements separately to build it up in to decoupage, paper piece with it or over stamp a stencilled background and then block it out with another layer of element. However, you don't just get that, you also get a negative image of the elements as well, so that you can ink that up and stamp the poppy head inside it with a solid colour or use a watercolour pen and spritz it to get a watercolour image.....

I have designed them all so that you can do at least six things with them, that is without even using the elements as separates, the ideas are endless. Let's face it as a crafter like you I want to get the most out of my stamps, that way I will use them all the more......

This one is called Clematis Elements.....

I added a second layer to the flower stamped on velum and then brayered with Diamond Sparkle Medium....

And this one is just four of the elements from Pimpernel Elements.....

The stencils I have used on the backgrounds are Honeycomb and Grunge Elements and they are on order and will be in stock soon......

I hope you have enjoyed the preview and I will be back soon......

Until then.....

Hugs Lisa B xx

More Inky backgrounds with Imagination Stencils and Lavinia Stamps....

Good Morning bloggers,

I am standing in for Kirsten as she covered a few of my posts last week, bless her (my rock!)

So today I thought that I would show you a make that I made last year but again creating a inky background and explain it in a little more depth.......

I used my Distress Inks  to create the initial background with the Imagination Crafts Diamond Stencil. This is one of my favourite stencils and I use it so much as you have probably realised!!
I used a Blending Tool to add two colour inks through the stencil but as you can see in the second photograph I embossed two lines creating a border using my large headed embossing tool (8mm) and a scoring board through the centre of my cardstock and the masked off that area with copy paper. Then when I put the stencil over the area and inked it with my blending tool it just went where I wanted it to.
I then used TCW Chicken Wire Reversed Stencil over the top and Black Soot Distress Ink just in certain areas to add some more texture to the background......

I wanted a splodged area on the background but slightly controlled so I made a wash with some black gesso, loaded up a large paint brush and added a paint puddle to the top third of the card. I then took a plastic straw and blew some of the paint puddle upwards and outwards to the edges of the card. I repeated the same at the bottom but no so much.
With a smaller paint brush I flicked some black gesso over the background too......

For the flowers I used the Zen Flowers from Lavinia Stamps and coloured them with the Distress Inks. I also added a message from my stash......

Lastly I matted it firstly on to black card, it always makes an image pop if you have used a lot of black and adds drama to the piece and then on to a co-ordinating colour card and then on to my card.....

Well that is all from me for now, have a fabulous weekend and I will be back tomorrow with a special preview??????....

Hugs Lisa B xx

Versafine ink background and Tando mini printer tray

Morning Folks,

It's been a hugely busy week and with the best will in the world I'm not going to complete this blog tutorial I have for you for this posting.
So I'll briefly tell you about it and pop back next week with my step by step picture instructions on how I did it.
I also used some gorgeous Stampendous Fran-tage with this frame.
Here's the result, until next time when I post the "How a I did it"
The weekend's looming and I hope it's a good one for you.
Crafty Hugs for now xKx

More Class Cards with Versacolor inks......

Good Morning all,

I apologise for not being around too much lately on the Blog and Facebook, my time has been taken up with preparation for classes, Create and Craft shows and designing products for lovely Imagination Crafts.....not to mention the NEC Trade show last week which was great but exhausting!!

We have lots of new exciting products coming in and some great new classes planned for you which I will be announcing soon on the blog and my website as soon as I know when the stock can be delivered!!

Thanks to my right arm...Kirsten for her constant support and stepping in for me on the blog and keeping everything going for me...... You are a star!

I thought that I would show you today, three of the card samples that I made for the class last month using the CAS acrylic block and ink technique that Kirsten blogged HERE.

Once the ladies practised and mastered the technique on copy paper they then went about applying the ink on to water colour card as I have done here:

For the background I used Versacolor Canary and Orange. For the stamping I used IndigoBlu Stamps and Onyx Black Versafine to over stamp my background on the card below and I then embossed it with Wow Clear Embossing Powder. I then matted and layered the piece and decided to take it over on to my main card, so lined up the images and then stamped them on the main card below. I think it is really effective and gives a lovely CAS look with a splash of colour......

For the next one I used Versacolor Turquoise and Heliotrope (two of my favourites) with the lovely Penny Black Fanciful Stamp and a sentiment from IndigoBlu Live, Love, laugh stamp set......

And lastly for this one I used Versacolor Atlantic and Bamboo (again I love these colours).
I used the TWC mini chicken wire reversed stencil and some soft Black Soot Distress ink just in a few areas to add some texture to the background. The main image was Lavinia Stamps Zen Grass which will be coming in to stock again soon and the wording was using Hobby Art Alphabet Typed Stamp Set.......

Well I do hope that this has given you the urge to have a go and create a simple CAS ink background and maybe enter it in to out blog challenge HERE, there is still time to enter......

Until next time, have a great week.....

Hugs Lisa B xx

Penny Black Breezy Background

Good morning, Kirsten here. And here we all are, almost at the end of February & with signs of Spring all around - thank goodness. :) My card today features the gorgeous Penny Black Breezy leaf stamp, used with Versacolor inks...........

The substrate is watercolour card. First I swiped Cool Peri Adirondack ink onto my craft mat, spritzed it with water & laid the watercolour card on top. Removed it, dried it with my heat tool, then repeated with Pool Adirondack ink (40% off all Adirondack inks in the Mega Sale). I finished the background with splatters of Orange Versacolor ink mixed with water........

I applied Orange Versacolor to the Breezy stamp first, then Grape Versacolor for the main image - I tried to get random coverage & applied varying amounts of pressure when I laid it on the card. I stamped again with just Orange Versacolor.............

I added more stamping, using the Designs by Georgina Peony unmounted stamp set with Pool Adirondack ink & Black Versacolor for the sentiment. I made the black dots by dipping a small embossing stylus into the Black Versacolor & applying to the card.................

Good morning, I hope everyone is having a nice weekend. When I made the card I showed you in Friday's blog post, I had some inks left over. I stamped the Woodware Clear Magic Wheat stamp onto the smooth side of a square of watercolour card with embossing ink & heat set with WOW Bright White embossing powder, then applied the remaining Adirondack inks............

A Hobby Art sentiment, some matting & layering & the card was finished.

Inkadinks Abstract Background

*This post is part of the February promotion fortnight. Remember to leave a comment to be entered in the giveaway.*

Good morning, happy Saturday. Kirsten here again, standing in for Lisa. Today's card is a dark, messy one. I used Imagination Crafts Inkadinks & Silkies........

White gesso though the Imagination Crafts Diamonds stencil, dried with a heat tool so that the gesso in some areas bubbles..............

Start spraying the Inkadinks, moving the card to get drips..............

Continue adding colour with more sprays of Inkadinks..................

The gesso mostly resisted the Inkadinks, so I took a baby wipe & lightly applied first Tuscan Satin Silkies, then Denim Lace..........

Next, I used assorted bottle caps, an old gift card & the inner, plastic ring from a roll of double-sided tape with white & black gesso to add detail..........

You can see the slight shine from the Silkies................

I used the Hobby Art stamp set, Alphabet Typed for the greeting, used blue & black card for matting & layering onto a 7x7 card blank & finished with white pen doodling...........

Inkadinks    Diamonds   Silkies - Denim Lace   Silkies Tuscan Satin     Alphabet Typed

Thanks for looking. I shall be back tomorrow with the final promotion post.
