Something a little more special.......

*This post is part of the October promotion fortnight. Remember to leave a comment to be entered in the giveaway.*
Good morning all,
Well I am pleased to say that I am feeling a lot better now and can seen a light at the end of the tunnel so to speak! I have had all my anti viral tablets now and the shingles is disappearing and more importantly I am feeling like my old self again. I have been really busy designing over the last few days and am working on something really exciting but cannot share with you just yet but will let you know as soon as I can.......
I have something a little more special to show you today, this was a sample that I made for the last class and it combined the previous months class of Crackle with this months Christmas theme.
I used one of the Anna Marie Designs stand up Fences and firstly painted it with Martha Stewart Sea Lavender Paint, once it was I then added a layer of Imagination Crackle Medium and let this dry.
After that I applied a thick layer of white gesso on top and the crackle started, I never get fed up with watching this process happen as it turns out so different each time you do it.......

I used the Woodware Clear Magic Date Stamp and stamped it on white card with Versafine Black Onyx and embossed it with Wow Clear Sparkle Powder. I then stamped the 25 on to Anna Marie Designs Aquamarine Blue Dottie Card and then cut it out and paper pieced it on to the white card. I used a Pro- marker to add colour around the edge of the stamp and the holly.....

For the Flowers I used Anna Marie Designs Poinsettia Stamp and stamped the image several times on to the aquamarine dottie paper and then embossed them and cut them out. I layered them up and attached a Hobby House Aurora Rhinestone in to the centre of each. I also stamped and embossed the holly that comes with the poinsettia on to white card and cut them out......

I found some small cones on the way to the post office the other week and I dried them out and dipped my finger in white gesso and then added it to the edges of the cones to make them snowy.
Once a had assembled everything ( I used a hot glue gun for some of it ) I used some Fluffy Stuff here and there to the tops of the fence and the edges of things and then heated it until it puffed up....

I finished it with a Seam Binding Ribbon bow and a little more fluffy stuff.......
Well that is all from me for now, let me know what you think and I will be back on Saturday with some more inspiration......
Big hugs Lisa.B.xx
