October's Class Cards.....

*This post is part of the October promotion fortnight. Remember to leave a comment to be entered in the giveaway.*

Good morning all,

It seems an age since I blogged, as you know I have been very busy lately but the lovely Kirsten has been keeping you up to date with all my news and if you have been following on Facebook too, you will know that I am a little poorly at the moment with shingles!!!!
I can honestly say, I would not wish it on anyone and I have caught it early and on anti viral tablets so hopefully they will kick in and I will be fighting fit soon ;0)......

Anyway enough of me.......
As you know by now Kirsten and the girls run the October workshop as I was working away at Happy Stampers show in Liverpool with the fabulous Imagination Crafts. I designed the cards before I went and Kirsten and I got all the packeting done before hand and we kept it pretty simple as it was her first time running the class. It was a huge success and I would like to say a big thank you to Kirsten, Kate, Rosemary, Jan and Jo for doing such a great job......the ladies loved the class.....

Below are the two cards that I designed and the ladies made, they have all been paper pieced....... if you have not done it before, it is a great way of using up all those lovely scraps of paper that you just can't bear to throw away.......
The stamp I used was a Woodware clear magic stamp called Patch Robin, I adore this stamp......it is so easy to paper piece and looks great in all different colours whether it is traditional or contemporary.......

I added some Xmas Red Stickles to the berries at the end and some Gold Stickles to the crosses .......

For the second card I used Anna Marie Designs Christmas Tree Trio and I stamped and embossed the trees on to three separate pieces of coordinating  papers with Versafine Onyx Black and Wow Sparkle Powder.......

After stamping them on to my white base layer, I paper pieced them and then swiped my Clear Emboss Pad along the base of the trees and then added the sparkle embossing powder and heated to give a snowy base to the trees and then drew a line with my fine liner pen to add detail at the base......

Well that is all from me for now, I am off to write up more blog posts as that is about all I feel I can do at the moment, just really lethargic......

Take care all and I will be back on Saturday with another post.....

Big hugs Lisa.B.xx

So sorry to hear that you're not well. I know that shingles can be really painful. Make sure that you get plenty of rest! Thank you, Jan
