April Newsletter

Hello, welcome to the April newsletter, I hope you had a great March & enjoyed the Easter weekend. Thankfully, Spring seems to be here at last. It's wonderful to see all the Spring flowers & the buds on the trees. All we need now is for the temperature to rise by a few degrees......

As usual, I had a busy month, what with demoing on the Imagination Crafts' stand at the Hobbycrafts show at the NEC & now preparing for the next Imagination Crafts' shows on Hochanda. The Hobbycrafts show was a madly busy four days for us, but we really enjoyed it. There were so many nice people who took the time to watch my & Sue's demos & complimented us on our Hochanda programmes. It was lovely to get so much positive feedback.

The next Imagination Hochanda shows will be a One Day Special, launching on
Saturday, April 2 at 8pm,
then on
Sunday, April 3 at 9am, 12, 4 & 7pm.

If you follow HOCHANDA on Facebook, you will have seen their statement regarding the interruption to their Freeview channel. This will affect the Imagination Crafts' shows for the next six weeks. For details on the other ways to watch HOCHANDA, click on this link.

More orders from the trade show have been arriving & I've added them to the website. I now have LOTS of new WOW! embossing powders & embossing glitters & the colours are really gorgeous............

Also available are new clear stamps from WOW!, as well as their new range of foils...............

Find all the WOW! products HERE.

Also new are Woodware Clear Magic stamps...........

The April workshops in Maidstone are this coming Friday, so I am busy preparing the class projects. We will be using Dylusions paints, Lavinia Stamps & a selection from the  Celtic Dreams cutting dies range.

Here are two of Kirsten's samples...............

The amazing offers for the April classes are;

Poppy Stencil part three.....

Good morning all,

I have had such a busy week being away at the NEC Hobbycrafts Show with Imagination Crafts and only got back late yesterday, so I am feeling somewhat exhausted at the moment!
Thank you so much to everyone who visited the stand and supported us, we had such a busy show and thank you also for all your lovely comments to Sue and I for our shows on Hochanda, it means so much to us.....

But onwards and upwards as they say..... Kirsten and I are busy preparing for my class next week and also there are more Hochanda shows coming up, so I am preparing for those too.

We have also been very busy putting LOTS of new items on the website and you can find them here in the WHAT'S NEW section.......

I have not had any time to play lately so I thought that I would show you some more samples that I made for the last class using my poppy stencil. Sorry but it is a quick post today as I have so much to do....

These next two cards were made in a similar way as my last two posts here.......

I cut away the main image that I created with the Poppy Stencil and 3D'd it on to another background that I created using a couple of stencils and Distress Ink.

Here is a list below of the products that I used to make this card:

For this next card, I created the main image using my Poppy Stencil in the same way and then added a background with the hexagons stencil and Distress ink and then die cut a circle away and added a matting circle layer of black in between. I also created two extra flower heads to decoupage on top......

Here is a list below of the products that I used to make this card:

Imagination Crafts Hexagons Stencil
My Imagination Crafts Poppy Stencil
Poppy Red Stencil Paint
Lime Green Stencil Paint
Sage Sparkle Medium
Light Copper Sparkle Medium
Distress Ink Barn Door and Bundled Sage

It is short and sweet today my lovelies but I hope you like the makes and I will be back soon.....

Remember you can always pop over to our Pinterest pages for more inspiration here:

Bye for now......

Big hugs Lisa B xx

Imagination Fairy

Hello again all, hope everyone is doing ok.  Today's blog is a dreamy image using the Imagination Crafts Bluebell Fairy.

Sorry but I've been quite busy this week so it's a very quick and easy card today.

I started with a 7" x 7" white card and cut three smaller pieces of white card as follows:

The first was 6.75" x 6.75"
The second was 6.5" x 6.5" which I cut down using one of my square pierced dies
The third was 6" x 6"

The first and third sizes I wanted to  make them look like background cards, so used the Black Starlights Paint with a piece of cut 'n' dry and dabbed it around all four edges of each card.

I think this is a nice easy way to create your own backgrounds.

The next step was to have a another pieces of white super smooth card cut slightly smaller than the 6 x 6 and I taped it to a blending mat placing the Imagination Crafts Bluebell fairy stencil over the top and using repositionable tape on all four sides of the card.  Using the Black Stars Sparkle Medium I spread the paste across the top of the stencil and drew it down using a spreaderSorry I forgot to take a photo at this point but I think we've all had a go at this before.

I left it to dry for a while, in the mean time I matted all the layers together before placing the fairy image on top and finishing with a little bit of bling.

A very basic, easy card but using some wonderful materials from Imaginations Crafts.

Thank you for dropping by the blog again today.  See you next week.
Love Jan -x-
