Masked Hobby Art Poppies

 Good morning crafters, Kirsten here, thank you for the kind comments on my card in Monday's blog post. I'm standing in for Lisa today & my card is based on her idea for one of last Friday's class projects. I used Dylusions paints again, (have I mentioned how much I love them??), with the Hobby Art Poppy Heads stamp set (more sets arriving this week) & the Imagination Crafts' Leaf Swirl stencil.

I stamped the poppy heads on to white Super Smooth card, masking off each one as I went along...............

I kept the masks in place while I stamped the block text stamp over the rest of the card...............

Time to add colour. I began with Lemon Zest Dylusions closest to the poppies, then Fresh Lime & Cut Grass...............

Applying Black Marble Dylusions through the Imagination Crafts' Leaf Swirl stencil before removing the masks.................

 I used Squeezed Orange & Postbox Red to paint the poppies, mixing them with a little water & drying in between to build up layers.............

I cut a few sections from a sheet of Imagination Crafts' Moroccan Trellis Art-Cutz, painted the pieces with Antique Gold Starlights paint & used Cosmic Shimmer glue to adhere the pieces to the card........

The finished card, with the sentiment from the Hobby Art Wildflowers stamp set (back in stock later this week)..............
