Hobby Art & Dylusions

Good morning, Kirsten here with the first of my Hobby Art projects for February. I hope you all had a nice weekend. We were back at Fant Hall in Maidstone for the first of Lisa's 2016 classes last Friday. You can read about the classes HERE. The Hobby art stamps I used on my projects this month are:

Wildflowers
Textures
Poppy Heads
Poppy Bloom
Poppy Field

I also used Dylusions paints on most of my projects.

I began today's card by applying Lemon Zest & Squeezed Orange Dylusions with my fingers on to a piece of Super Smooth card..............

When that first layer was dry, I applied Cut Grass Dylusions through the Imagination Crafts'
Sun Mosaic stencil & Postbox Red Dylusions through the IC Flint Texture stencil................

The third layer was stamping with the Hobby Art Textures set, using permanent green & black inks. I didn't put any of the stamps on acrylic blocks, just held them in my hand & rolled them over the card, that way you get partial impressions........

I wanted the two largest flowers from the Poppy Field & Poppy Sketch stamps, so I stamped them on to scrap paper, cut them out, put them on to the background & traced around them with a pencil...........

I added hand drawn stems & leaves, again with a pencil, then began to filll in the surrounding area with White Linen Dylusions & a mix of Grape Crush & White Linen. I did this with a paintbrush & a damp baby wipe, drying in between to build up layers.........

I added more stamping with the Limor Webber from Indigo Blu with Jet Black Stazon, another of the Hobby Art Textures stamps with red ink & used a permanent black pen to outline the flowers....................

I finished the card with the sentiment stamp from the Hobby Art Wildflowers stamp set......

The website will be updated today & new stock from Hobby Art will be arriving during the week.

Thank you for visiting the blog today. Have a great week & I'll be back next Monday.

Kirsten

**There isn't a new blog challenge. We've got some other ideas for this year, so we're giving the challenge a rest for the time being. Thanks to everyone who supported it last year.**
