Masked Stamping and Stencilling

Hello, Kirsten here. I have a single layer card to show you today.

I used two lengths of Stencil tape to create a panel down the length of a piece of white card stock, slightly smaller than C6 size & began stamping one of the stamps from the

I used Turquoise & Neptune inks for the flowers, from the Sweet Birdhouse Card-io Majestix set using second- & third-generation stamping to build up depth.

After drying the inks with my heat tool I covered the panel with more stencil tape & placed the Imagination Crafts Diamond stencil on top. I applied Adirondack Cool Peri ink through the stencil with a foam pad on a  blending tool. I used very little ink to begin with & went back over a few areas with a little more.

I stamped a butterfly from the Card-io Flutterby Garden stamp set with Neptune Versacolor directly on to the card & added the Penny Black sentiment with black Versacolor. I decided to add a few flowers so I stamped the large flower a few times from the set with Turquoise ink on to scrap card, then stamped the matching outline stamp in black, cut them out & stuck them to the card with
Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear glue.

Thanks for looking. Don’t forget to leave a comment to be entered in the giveaway. See you next time.
