Majestix Crocus Garden...

Good morning everyone

I'd like to show you some cards I've made with the
Card-io Majestix Crocus Garden stamp set
a lovely little bunny from Card-io Combinations Celebrations collection

For those of you who are not familiar with the stamping masking technique, I have
photographed a step by step

And by the way, these cards do not incorporate layers and 3 dimension so they are great for posting without going to the post office to check the depth and weight !!

I started by stamping the bunny with Black Onyx Versafine direct on to a
and also on to a post it note

I then cut out the post it image and placed it over the image on the card

Using Versacolor Grape, Sky Blue, Bamboo and Heliotrope
I randomly stamped flowers and leaves from the Crocus Garden stamp set
around the bunny.  You will see that I have overlapped the stamps on to the post it note

I placed some Versacolor Bamboo on to a ceramic tile and used a little water and paint brush
to create some ground for bunny to stand on

I removed the post it which created the effect that bunny was standing in front of the flowers and foliage

I then used some Distress Inks to water colour the bunny

I added a some dashes around the edge of the card with a black fineliner pen

And I decorated the envelope to match the card

For this card I've used the
Majestix Crocus Garden stamp set and the bunny from the
Card-io Combinations Celebrations collection, plus a sentiment from
Card-io Combinations Say It With Flowers collection
I used Versa Color Grape, Bamboo, Sky Blue and Ash Rose

The bunny, when stamped, looks to the right. To have it looking the left
I inked the stamp and ran a brayer over it before running the brayer over my card blank
to produce two bunnies looking in opposite directions

To finish off the card, I used different coloured Stickles Glitter Glue to add a
little sparkle here and there

  3. Lovely cards! I love the bunny. And I've learned another new technique from the blog today. How much practice does it take to do the reverse image with a brayer I wonder. I think that may be another weekend spent practising a new (to me) technique! Thank you, Jan

  4. Two gorgeous cards. Great tip about brayering the bunny stamp to have a reverse image. Will have to try that. Somehow think I might need a lot of practise lol.
