Especially for you

Hi! It's Georgina with my Friday post. Today I have a monochrome card to share with you using the lovely Woodware Going to Seed clear stamp which is available from Lisa B Designs.

To make this card I started by die cutting a circle aperture in the front of a Straight edge 148x148mm white card blank. To do this I lightly drew in pencil lines between the four corner as shown below. This helps to position the circle die centrally in the card for die cutting.

I then used a Versafine onyx black ink pad to the stamp the sentiment inside the card, making sure it can be seen through the aperture. I then stamped Going to Seed clear stamp, again with the Versafine ink pad, on the front of the card around the circle aperture. I only inked-up 3/4 of the top part of the stamp as the stems were too long for the space around the aperture. The stamp is so detailed that it suits stamping in just black and makes a lovely card for many different occasions.

Crackled Heart

Today I have another of my crackle projects to share with you.
The crackled background is created with acrylic paints and Imagination Crafts Crackle Medium
Dies were used to cut the heart shape from the crackled piece and also from Kraft Card.
I then stamped using one of the stamps from Penny Black Cling/Slapstick Fanciful onto the crackle.
The heart layers were then mounted onto Anna Marie Dottie Card in Powder Pink.
Finishing off with embellishments buttons, lace, string and a paper rose.
I was really pleased with how the crackle and stamping turned out on this card.
Hope you like my Thursday make, have a good day...xKx

Rusted Crackle

Morning all, I'm covering Lisa's blog posts this week while she & her new hubby, Paul, are on honeymoon.......

For today's card I went a bit dark & grungy...........

I applied Imagination Crafts Crackle Medium to a piece of Anna Marie Designs vintage card. (This is very nice, 250gsm card stock. There are six A4 sheets in a pack & each sheet is a different colour & has a different vintage script/newsprint/dictionary page on it)

I brushed on the crackle medium (if you missed my post about crackle medium, you'll find it HERE) & when it was dry, painted on a layer of MS Beetle Black acrylic paint.......

When that was dry, I applied Bronze Brocade Silkies with my fingers over the non-crackled areas.........

I stamped the Woodware Clear Magic mini flower onto white cardstock eight times with Onyx Black Versafine ink & heat set with clear embossing powder, then cut them out. I sprinkled on dark blue Imagination Crafts' mica powder, then spritzed with water & dried with my heat tool.............

To make the flowers I sprayed each flower with water, put a brad through them one at a time & gently crumpled them up - depending on the weight of the card stock you use, you might lose a petal or two doing this, but I think it's worth it - then I dried them with my heat tool. You could also leave them to dry on their own, but I was impatient. When they were dry I swiped Stormy Sky distress ink over them.

I cut labels with a Spellbinders' die & painted them with Bronze Brocade Silkies, one went behind the flowers. I stamped 'love' from the Hobby Art Alphabet Typed stamp set............

I also mixed some of the blue mica powder with water & used a paintbrush to flick it over the card & the flowers.........

I finished the card with a metal corner, some pearl pins & a gingham bow.............

Thanks for visiting the blog today. We're in the last week of September, but if you're thinking of entering the blog challenge, you still have until Saturday, October 4, at 11pm. I'll be back on Saturday, so until then, happy crafting.

Take Chances

Good morning, happy Tuesday.

*Today's projects were based on ones I saw somewhere & when I can find the originals I will edit this post with the information.*

This was a practice piece I made when Lisa asked me to make samples using the
Imagination Crafts crackle medium, (it's CM & MS Summer Linen acrylic paint on
Anna Marie Designs black card) & I didn't want to waste it......

I put assorted colours of Martha Stewart acrylic paint onto the smaller of the two ink blending mats.......

I laid the card crackle side down onto the paint & moved it slightly, to smear the paint underneath. I lifted it off, turned it & laid it onto the paint again. I also spritzed water onto the card to get some of the paint to drip a little. I used as much of the paint as I could, before it got too dry on the blending mat...............

Here you can see the texture of the paint as well as the crackle effect..............

I began stamping with the Hobby Art Decorative Backgrounds stamp set, using both Versafine & Stazon black inks........

I used less pressure when stamping with the Stazon ink so that some of the stamping would be a little faded...........

When I'd finished stamping I made holes around the outside with my Tim Holtz ruler & a pokey tool & added 'stitching' with a fine liner pen........

I stamped the Woodware Clear Magic mini flower onto scrap card, cut it out & glued it on with Cosmic Shimmer glue..........

With the pieces of card I had left I made a bookmark tag, punching out circles from the smallest piece............

The finished card & tag.............
