Something a little different.....

Morning all, me again....oh no I hear you say ;0)......

Well it is just a quickie from me for today....

I made a little calender for my lovely crafting buddy Jenny Mayes over at Hobby Art earlier in the year and thought I would show it to you as we are still on flowers this month and I have not had the chance to make something new as I am working on lots of samples for other companies at the moment!......

I made this calender from a piece of 6"square grey board and covered it in Anna Marie Designs Aquamarine Dottie card
I then cut a piece of super smooth card and built up the scene using the lovely Country Garden Stamp Set from Hobby Art.....

I free hand cut a cloud shape from a scrap of white card to use as a template to add some clouds in the sky using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and a Blending Tool. I coloured the main images with Pro- Markers and Distress inks. I added a calender and a bow to finish......

Well that is all from me for today, gotta run back to work in the studio.....I hope that you are having a great weekend....

More Sparkly Butterflies....

Morning all, wishing you all a great weekend.....

I have another card to show you today using the fabulous Butterfly Delight Stencil, I love using this stencil on acetate as you must have gathered by now and wanted to show you how different it can look with a different background.....

I did the same thing on the acetate as I did on last Sundays Blog post but this time used the acetate as an overlay and not a wrap around. I attached the acetate on to some plum card with brads....
I tore a piece of velum into a border strip, stamped a message from my stash using Heliotrope Versafine Ink and clear embossed it with Wow powder and then wrapped it around the card and attached it on to another white matted layer.....

To finish off I die cut a white butterfly using the Cheery Lynn Medium Butterfly die and attached it to the card....

Another really simple yet effective card, let me know what you think?

That is all for now....

Big hugs Lisa.B.x

Craftwork Cards Clock

Good morning, we're deeply immersed in preparations for September's class next Friday, so this is a quick post to show you a clock Lisa made with the new Craftwork Cards Refreshers collection.

She covered the clock with one of the patterned papers, then added different pieces to the sides, using a punch to decorate the edges & adding lace.........

She built up layers of flowers & embellished them with rhinestone sparklers from Hobby House.......

The topper is also from the Refreshers collection......

Georgina Thursday

Good morning, I hope you're all having a great week, thanks for the kind words about the recent blog posts.

Regular readers will know how I feel about starting projects for you-know-what in December too early - bah humbug! :) - but today I have to make an exception to show you this beautiful card that Georgina made for the event day last month.................

She used Indigo Blu stamps;

Stamping the flourish with red ink onto white card, then stamping the poinsettia with black Stazon before cutting them out & adding gold liquid pearls..........

The sentiment is from the Winter Wishes clear stamp set by Hobby Art...........

So beautiful! Thank you Georgina.

Wall Hanging Frame........

Morning all....... happy Wednesday,

As I said the other day, I would bring you another altered art projects using the lovely Anna Marie Designs Creative Frame. I love this little wooden kits as they are so well made and go together so easily. They are really easy to paint, stamp on, cover with papers etc... and are really affordable too.....

I started by painting the frame with Martha Stewart Summer Linen Acrylic paint and then left it to dry. I then used Anna's Rose Drop Stamp with Lime Versacolor ink and Atlantic Versacolor ink.
I added some Weathered Wood Distress ink on to the edges with a Blending Tool to soften them off.
I stamped the main single large flower head from the stamp set around the edges of the frame and also used the leaf stamp form the set with the lime ink as shown. I then added Wow Sparkle Embossing Powder on top of it and heat set it. I also did some extra flowers on a spare bit of super smooth card and cut them out to go on the inside of the frame.......

For the inside I attached some of Anna-Marie Designs Sage Dottie Card to the centre inside of the frame....
I then cut a square of super smooth card and inked up Anna's large stamp from Special Birthdays with both colour inks and stamped and embossed it, I inked the edges and attached this to the centre of the frame. I then used the Birthday Circle Message from Raindrop with the Atlantic ink and stamped and embossed it and then cut away the flowers and 3d'd it to the frame......

To finish it I punched some leaves out of the sage dottie card and used some ready made flowers from my stash to decorate the frame.....
I also made a bow and added a hanger using some silk ribbon.......

Well I hope that you have enjoyed the creative frame and fancy having a go, they are on the website HERE......

That is all from me for now, have a great weekand see you soon.....

Slightly Psychedelic, part two

Good morning, me again, this time with the two cards I made with the leftover ink & watercolour card from yesterday's project.

I added white to the background again for this card, this time with WOW Bright White embossing powder. I inked the Penny Black Slapstick stamp, 'Breezy', randomly with embossing ink & tried to vary the pressure when I stamped the images, to get a patchy result. I added a Craftwork Cards message.........

The butterfly die cut was left over from my projects earlier in the month. I painted it black & while the paint was wet, sprinkled WOW Clear Sparkle EP on top & heat set.............

For the third card I left the background as it was, just adding Joy Crafts cloud die cuts, using punches from my stash for the sun, a vellum wrap around, another Craftwork Cards message & a few Hobby House adhesive pearls..........

That's it. Three quick cards to make that warm, Summer feeling last a little longer.
