Snowflake Swirl

 

Hello crafters, Kirsten here with a quick extra post. I made this card at the same time as the cards in yesterday’s post but I thought there were enough pictures in that post.

As with yesterday, these stamps are from the Butterfly Kisses Snowflake set of stamps from Hobby Art. I stamped the swirl in Picked Raspberry distress ink & the single snowflake in Salty Ocean on a piece of hammered card stock. Then I misted the card with water so that the colours ran a little & dried. Next, I mixed a little pale gold mica powder with water & spritzed the card with it & dried with my heat tool. This gives a subtle sheen to the card.

I coloured a scrap piece of white card with Salty Ocean DI & cut the snowflake with a Joy Crafts

Ice Crystal die & attached it to the card with a glittered brad. I stamped the quote with Picked Raspberry DI, mounted it on a piece of silver card & layered it on the card on top of a piece of ribbon from my stash.

Fridays Class.......

Morning all,

 

What a miserable day out there today, how is it where you are?

 

As you know I have not had too much time lately for blogging but the design team have been bringing you some fabulous samples......

I  would like to say a huge thank you to all that attended my workshop on Friday as we had a great deal of fun. I think I worked you a little hard this month, as I know a lot of you went home exhausted!!! lol!

You all came up with some beautiful cards. here is what the ladies created in the class in case you missed it.......

 

This first card was using the Craftwork Cards Bow Pad, a Woodware holly punch, some Candi for berries and an embossing folder.......and of course some gold stickles, its not Christmas without glitter!!! The message is from the Christmas Post Collection that works really well with the bow pad......

 

 

 

The next card was using Georgie and Robin from Hobby Art, I love snowmen.... there is just something about them. I got the girls to decoupage him and paper piece his scarf and waistcoat. They coloured him in Promarkers and added some icicle Stickles of course and even got the chance to play with Puffy Stuff for snow. It has all sold out at the moment but will be back in soon and on the website......

They made him in all different colours and it was lovely to see Georgie emerging in all different shades.......

 

Here are the ladies enjoying the workshop, they have there heads down and working away so hard!!!

 

How many bows do we have to make? I hear them say......

 

I never seen them so focused and sounding so quiet.........

 

Seriously we may have to make bows again, lol!!!.......

 

Well Christmas is looming fast and so is the end of year Christmas Party, there are just a couple of spaces left on the day and evening class if you do want to get booked in. The date is 6th December and as usual there will be great projects, fabulous food and an abundance of fun as well as a lot of surprises!!!!! Email me at: lisabaker1@btinternet.com

Easy Does It

Hello crafters, Kirsten here.
I’ve just returned from a week away, so this is a quick post to show you a few very quick cards I made before I went away.

This one uses the circles I cut from the Nitwits card on the banner I made for the November blog challenge. I added silver glitter & drew ‘string’ with a black waterproof pen to turn them into baubles.

I love the combination of grey & yellow! I stamped the Hobby Art Butterfly Kisses snowflakes stamps onto a piece of hammered white card with Memento London Fog ink & stamped the quote with Squeezed Lemonade distress ink.

 

I don’t have a snowflake embossing folder, so I used the 6x6 Embossalicious lattice folder for this card. I covered one side of the folder with Weather Wood distress ink before putting it & the card through my Big Shot.  I stamped the quote & snowflake with Peacock Feathers DI.

November Challenge and October’s Winner

For the new challenge I made a little banner. Yes, I know I make a lot of them, but I really like them.

I used Nitwits patterned paper & Hobby Art’s Jasper & Georgie snowmen stamps, colouring the images with Promarker pens.

Here’s the layout. I punched holes in two of the Nitwits triangles, so that more of the glittered card underneath would visible.

I stamped one of the large Hobby Art Butterfly Kisses snowflakes onto the white circle with Versamark & heat set it with silver embossing powder. The ‘JOY’ chipboard letters from Craftwork cards were covered in purple glitter.

 

 

I mounted the images onto silver card & used 3D foam pads to layer everything on the triangles.

Glossy Accents, liquid pearls &  glitter were the finishing touches.

More Jolly Holly...

Hi everyone

Here is my second card with the 

Woodware Clear Magic Jolly Holly stamp

available HERE

I used black onyx Versafine to stamp the image on to Neenah Card

You will see that I have also stamped some extra random swirls and holly leaves to the left of the bauble to build up the picture a little

I used Promarkers to colour

I then matted and layered with some black core'dinations gemstones

cardstock and some blue and white paper from my stash on to a

Craftwork Card 148x148mm straight edge card

I finished off with blue Hobby House Rhinestones and

 Stickles Silver and Star Dust Glitter Glue
