Its not quite finished ............ but a few sneak peeks!!!

Morning all,

 

This is actually a scheduled post as I am on my way to Spain this morning for a well earned rest!

Apologies for not blogging much lately but my time has been taken up between finishing the studio  and shows.....

We had Exeter show two weeks ago and Harrogate last weekend and I must admit I feel pretty shattered and am ready for this holiday!

 

Harrogate was great, it is one of my favourite shows and it was lovely to catch up with so many crafting buddies......

 

The studio is nearly finished, I just have a few more boxes of stash to go through and then a thorough hoover up and dust.

I have masses of stash that I have to clear as there is no more room. It has been very difficult trying to pick from 12 years of crafting stash but it has to go, so there is masses for my SALE day.

I will keep you posted on what day I will hold it......

 

I thought I would give you a few sneak peeks just to tease you of how it is looking........

Everything is organised and easy to see!!!.........

 

Everything has it's own place, I'm not short of flowers!!!.....

 Well there is a little taster of whats to come, I will share more with you when I get back from holiday and get it finished off.....

Kraft Christmas

Hello crafters, Kirsten here.
I love kraft card so I decided I’d make some Christmas cards using these coordinating stamps & dies from Joy Crafts.

All six cards are very simple. Not sure why, but I’m definitely feeling quite minimalist at the moment. White & red embossing powder on these two. The snowflakes on the first card are from the HobbyArt Butterfly Kisses Snowflake clear stamp set. I stamped them with Frayed Burlap distress ink & heat set with clear embossing powder.

More white embossing & I die cut the flowers from the same core’dinations card as the background. The sentiments on all six cards are from the CWC Christmas Post collection.

Gold embossing on the first card & a white die cut on the second, with a core’dinations Christmas tree.

Blue Snow

Hi everyone

I made the following card using Woodware Clear Magic stamps

Huge Snow available HERE and

Snowflakes and Sparkles available HERE

 I started by stamping the Snowflakes and Sparkles stamp using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink 

on to a piece of white Neenah card

Using black Versafine, I stamped the Huge Snow design

I then stamped the word Snow on to some double sided sticky film using black Stazon and cut it out

before attaching it to the word on the card

 I covered the sticky film with Crystal Glamour Dust 

I matted and layered on to a Craftwork Card Top Notch 203x203mm blank card

using Best Creation Inc glitter paper (the blue spotty one) and some contrasting card cream cardstock

I finished off by die cutting some poinsettia flowers and applying some 

Hobby House blue rhinestones and Star Dust Stickles glitter glue

Xmas Flowers

 

 Hi! It's Thursday again so it's me Georgina with my weekly blog post. Today I have a Christmas card for you made with the lovely Xmas Flower dies available from Lisa B. Designs.

 

To make this card I started with a Kraft card blank. I used Frayed Burlap and Walnut Stain Distress Inks with a Blending Tool to distress the edges of the card.  I then used Frayed Burlap Distress Ink pad to stamp the text background over the top of the card. I stamped the black sentiment with a Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad. I added a strip of ribbon and Card Candi to the card also available from Lisa B. Designs.

 

 I used the lovely Xmas Flowers dies to cut the flowers and leaves. I used three different shades of red card to cut the flowers from. I used three flower dies cuts for each flower head, as shown below. I cut the flower centres from gold card.

 

 Once I had cut the leaves, from green card, and made the flowers I added then to the card.  To finish I added Gold Stickles to the centre of the flowers and Stardust Stickles to the flowers.

        

New Month, New Challenge And A Winner

The theme for October is Traditional Christmas & all the details are on the challenge page.  I decided to make a tag book, combining elements from the Craftwork Cards Christmas Past collection with Kanban patterned card.

I scored two pieces of red core’dinations card at three inch intervals, gluing them together to give me six ‘pages’.

 

I cut pieces of different Kanban patterned card into smaller tag shapes, edged them with Vintage Photo distress ink & decorated them with Joy Crafts Ice Crystal & Vintage Flourish die cuts & leaves cut from offcuts of the Kanban card.  I covered the CWC chipboard letters with one of the Christmas Past papers & used a die cut sentiment for the small tag that I placed in an envelope on the front.

I decorated everything with an assortment of glitter glues, liquid pearls & CWC card candi.  That’s it, a quick & simple project for when you want more than just a card.
