Hi All,

I just thought I would take the time to wish you all a Happy and Healthy New Year. Let's hope it will be a good year for everyone!

I thought I would post some of the cards that were from the January Vintage Class along with a couple more that I have done. It is based around the new Craftwork Cards Kraft with Colour collection and the Shabby Vintage collection along with some added stamping and embossing etc...

The first card is one of the class cards, a manequin card. I made this card using the Shabby Vintage papers and accessories. I used some Antique Linen Distress Ink on the doily and message. Some vintage lace and flowers and a Krylon 18KT Gold leafing pen to glam up the edges. See what you think......

This is another one that I made later in another colour with some added extras.....

Here is the second one of the class cards, this time using a bird and bird cage die cut with some added stamping and embossing techniques to enamel the bird and top of the cage......

Christmas Party Class

Hi All,

OMG,
I have just said to Paul that I cannot believe the last time I updated this blog was July. I am so sorry, I have really failed on last years New Year resolution!!!
Where did the last six monthes go, come on who pinched em????
I really must try harder or get a blog manager in!

Well the Christmas Party Class what can I say, what great fun we had.
Thank you to all of you that attended and thank you for all your lovely emails after to thank me for my efforts, it is so very much appreciated.
Thank you also for your lovely gifts and cards, the standard has been so high, I must be doing something right in my teaching!

Well enough of me babbling, you want to see some pics, don't you.

Wow What a Day!

Hi All,

Wow,wow,wow can I say a huge thank you to every one that came along and supported my Paper-Craft Event Day on Saturday. What a fantastic day we had and thank you for all your lovely comments and feedback that I got from you all. It is always lovely to see a lot of my regular faces but thrilling to see new faces and blasts from the past that I used to teach coming back again.
I thought I would post some pictures that Paul (my better half) took on the day for those of you that missed out.

First is a few of the hall before we opened, we were all a little nervous and finishing the last minute touches but my girls all seemed to be camera shy!!.....

I opened the doors and in they came, there was a lovely crafty buzz about.....

A big thank you to my sister Jo who did the catering with the mouthwatering savouries and cakes ( I think you were all impressed Hmmmm!!) and my nieces Chloe who helped with the food and Heidi that ran the Craft Raffle for Breast cancer care. Unfortunately Paul missed out on a photo of the food but did manage to polish off a good bit of it.....

The great news is we managed to raise £70.00 for Breast Cancer Care, so thanks to you all for supporting the cause. the winners were...

2nd Prize - Over £25 worth of Craft goodies- - - Carole Cheeseman

So well done to you all!

Lots of you have been asking if I will do another event and the good news is that as long as I can secure the hall for another Saturday I will be hosting a Christmas Event.
The classes are all fully booked and we have some reserves but you are more than welcome to ring me on 01622 675078 to book a reserve place as there are cancellations that come up from time to time.
PLEASE REMEMBER even if you are not booked on a workshop you are more than welcome to come over to the hall on a class day and visit the full on site Craft Shop. the next class is 5th August. the shop will be open from 2.30pm until 9.30pm and is at
Fant Hall,Barming,ME16 8NN.

Well all that is left to say is Thank you to all my girls that helped make the day special: Rosemary, Suzanne, Cazza, Caroline and Julie and not to forget Jean.
A special get well soon for Caroline who broke her foot the week of the event and was not able to demonstrate and was gutted but made some beautiful samples and last but not least to Paul my rock that has to put up with me!!!

Shadow Stamping Class Cards

Hi All,

Hope you are all well and busy crafting away. I am sorry I have not blogged much lately but I have been busy with shows and getting ready for my Paper Craft Event on Saturday 23rd July which is looming up quickly. There will be masses of new inspiration as I have been busy working on design boards and there is a huge amount of new stock with great prices and multi buy offers also a up to half price Sale section as well to pick up another great bargain. There will be great demos to watch and lets not forget the homemade cakes on offer Mmmnn.....

Can I say a huge thankyou to all the lovely ladies that attended my 8th July Shadow Stamping class. We had a great lot of fun and you all created some stunning pieces of art work for your cards. It was great to see the improvement with a lot of the ladies that have previously struggled with using distress inks but that are now really getting to grips with them and enjoying the effects that you can create with them. So well done to you all!

I thought I would post up some of my example cards so that you can have another look if you did not manage to take photos. Here are a few fairy ones....

I just thought I would share with you some of the artwork and cards that I did at Liverpool show with J & C.Creations last weekend. Let me know what you think.....

The flowers are made using a gorgeous new creative expressions floral umount stamp set......

Hmmmm Bundled sage with Antique Linen, one of my favourite combos.....

This is using one of my favourite stamps this year, It is a Stamp Barn flower stamp....

Kept it quite sepia for this one, using one of the great Hobby art clear stamp sets.....

Gone all arty with this one, a great one for a man. I have used a Cuttlebug folder, masses of embossing and some great Tim Holts metal add ons, see what you think....

Lovely to see the sun out today, had a busy weekend at Thetford show with J & C Creations and feeling a little tired today!

I have made some projects for Craftwork Cards over the last few weeks and I thought I would share them with you. A few Easter ideas and Birthday too.

Lisa. B. Designs April class

Hi All,

Wow isn't it cold today!!! I haven't felt that great all weekend with a cold and my back playing up but the lovely weather had put a spring in my step but today my spring has froze and there's not much bounce in it!! LOL!
Anyway how are you all? I know a few of my lovely's have been breaking an odd limb or two, hope you all feel better soon!

A huge thank you to all the ladies that came to my class on Friday 1st April (and help me set up) and alot of fun we had too!

All of you managed to get the hang of the resist technique and get a card completed and a lot of you also managed to get some extra art work done, so well done to you all.

Here is a little taster of what we did if you missed it......

I have had alot of great feedback from a lot of you regarding the mobile shop at the class. With many of you telling me that you love the up to date stock that I am stocking, so thank you for that. I thought I would include some pictures of the shop on here to give some of you an idea of what it is like if you missed out.

Remember the shop is open to the public on the first Frday of every month at the hall. For more details please email me at lisabaker1@btinternet.com ............

Just to let you know next monthes class is on the 6th May and there are still a few spaces. We will be doing a Trinitage card and a floral nice and easel card. If you wish to book or know more please email me at the address above.

Clean and simple on the outside with a lovely little pyramount stacker and on the inside.......

Lisa.B.Designs February class

Hi All,

Can I say a big thank you to all the ladies that attended my class on Friday last week at Fant hall in Barming. A good time was had by all and the theme last week was "Men's Cards". We used some lovely papers and stamps from Wild Rose Studio and some great new peel-offs from Little Claire's which I stock at the mobile shop at the class. Along with some Pro-marker colouring and a little paper piecing they made two great cards. Unfortunately because of my worsening memory (I am sure its an age thing....!) I forgot to take the camera this week so I just have some pics of the actual cards. So here's a little taster.....

Next month's class is technique based class, I will be teaching some embossing and inking techniques with a brand new specialized foil card when embossed it looks like it has been etched into. Its fabulous stuff!

Ohhhh hasn't it been chilly lately! Hope you are all well and not had too many coughs and sneezes, there's so much going around lately.
Anyway here is a little taster and some pics of the Exeter show that I demonstrated at with J&C Creations as promised. I was demonstrating resist, watermark and shadow techniques.....

Lisa.B.Designs January class

Happy New Year!
Well can you believe it, its nearly been a whole year since I last blogged!!!!
Where did the time go?
As a lot of you know my classes this year have been simplified and have all come together in one hall and Friday 7th January was the first class. Can I say a huge Thankyou to all of the lovely ladies that attended and well done to all of you newbies and my long standing advanced ladies too.
Can I also wish Get Well to five of the ladies that were unable to attend due to illnesses, the blasted flu bug, swine flu bug and sickness bug is taking so many people off their feet this year.
I thought I would put some photos on of the samples and hall, I did hope to get a photo of the class busy crafting away but as those know who attended the evening class, time just ran away with us!!!
The class was called Tempting Templates and we used lovely new Craftwork Card templates and papers and also Wild Rose Studio papers and of course some lovely glitter! Where would we be without bling?

Just to let you know that I will be at 'Invicta Craft Centre' in Maidstone this weekend again Sunday 29th November from 10.30am until 3.30pm. This week I will be demonstrating my own new stamp designs from Lisa.B.Designs. Introducing two new characters Patch the dog and Loopy-Lou the lamb, three christmas designs and two new designs of Mika and Minx. I will also be demonstrating some great new stamp designs from one of my favourites Pink Gem stamps. Promarker colouring and shaded de-coupaging.

Hi All,

Ohh it seems so long since I have even been able to dedicate some time to put anything let alone a demo date on my blogs. So sorry to all of you followers it must seem that I had disappeared off the planet. I am such a bad blogger!!
Just to let you know that I will be at 'Invicta Craft Centre' in Maidstone this weekend again Sunday 15th November from 10.30am until 3.30pm. I will be showing you how to get the best out of your peel offs and adding a bit of class to your cards using different techniques. There will be lots of gorgeous foiled snowflake and holly cardstock in an array of colours as well as some new peel-offs and so much more.

Demo Day this Sunday!!

Hi All,

Sorry I have been such a bad, bad blogger lately. I have just been up to my eye balls keeping up with designing and with my stamps and classes and everything!!!
Still not complaining it keeps me on my toes. Trouble is my mind is always willing but the body is half a mile behind LOL!
Anyway here's a little treat, just to let you know to all my local ladies I will be showcasing the Popcorn stamps and CD's including Christmas at 'Invicta Craft centre', just off juntion 7 on the M20 situated in Notcutts garden centre, where I will be doing a demo this Sunday 30th August from 10.30am-3.30pm.
I will be using different mediums and techniques to show you how you can make some lovely professional cards.
I won't leave all you lovely followers out that have joined me from far and wide (I thank you all), as I will post the cards up next week and on my DO gallery (there is a link on my blog) so that you can have a good look too and get some inspiration Hopefully He He!!

Can I just say a huge thankyou to all the lovely ladies that came along and supported me yesterday at the demo day launch of my new stamps. It was sooo lovely to see so many faces, familiar and new. Also thankyou for all your lovely cards and flowers and pressies it was very much appreciated and I was very touched. Hi All,
Just to let you know I will be showcasing my brand new cute critter stamps at 'Invicta Craft Center' situated just off juntion 7 on the M20 on 2nd August 10.30am - 3.30pm. Hi Folks,

Just to let you know that my long awaited new stamps will be arriving soon and will soon be available from me direct or from my new web site that is being set up as I type.
