Good Morning crafters, Julie here, I hope I find you well today? Today's card is another alcohol inks background with Lavinia Stamps images.
I started off with a piece of Yupo and applied Juniper Alcohol Ink directly onto the Yupo and spread this around using a lint on my
applicator tool to give an even coverage.
Next I moved onto applying drops of alcohol ink onto the surface starting with Patina then Honeycomb and then Mermaid Alcohol inks. I decided the colour looked a little intense so add a few drops of my initial coverage colour Juniper, to break up the intensity.
Then the fun begins applying blending solution to the lint on the
applicator tool and start to dab until you get the desired background
you would like to achieve. I love the way the background changes before
your eyes and how you can lighten intense colour with the blending
solution as there is no right or wrong with this.
I left the background to dry - I just love these colours together. The
stamps I chose were Guinevere (the mermaid), the Shoal of Fish and
Seaweed all by Lavinia Stamps. I stamped the mermaid first, the the
shoal of fish and finished with repeated stamping of the seaweed in Jet Black Archival Ink to finish the scene.
This time I matted my scene onto some silver Mirri card and then some
pastel green pearl card from my stash as I wanted this card to have an
elongated view to it. I finished the card with white pen dots for the fish eyes and a
few bubble dots from the mermaid's hand as I thought this was enough.
