Bubbletastic Spectrum Aquas

Good morning, happy Monday. I hope you all had a nice weekend & remembered to put your clocks forward an hour yesterday. I'd like to show you two cards today, both made with the
Floral set of Spectrum Aqua pens & the back in stock Blossom Bunch stamp from Stampendous.

(There are some other fab new Stampendous stamps available on the website, see them all HERE)

For the first card I scribbled three colours onto the raised side of apiece of bubble wrap & spritzed the ink with water. Then I laid a piece of watercolour card on top & pressed down gently............

As well as my main piece & by spritzing with more water, I had enough ink left on the bubble wrap for two more pieces of watercolour card & a page in my mini art journal, for future use......

I stamped the Blossom Bunch stamp on top of the background with Onyx Black Versafine ink, covered it with clear embossing powder & heat set, then did the same on a piece of white card & cut out just the flowers, gluing the pieces to the main card.........

I added a tiny dot of colour to the centre of the flowers & the sentiment from the
Woodware Special Bird stamp to the bottom right & finished the card with matting & layering of similar colours of Core'dinations card..........

The second card was made by scribbling the Spectrum Aqua pens onto an acrylic block & spritzing with water, then laying watercolour card on top.

I stamped the Blossom Bunch stamp onto white card & cut out the entire image I added a bit of doodling with white & black pens & the sentiment is also from the Woodware Special Bird stamp set.......

That's it from me for today, thanks for looking. Remember to check out the blog challenge & I am looking forward to seeing many of you at Friday's classes. If anyone else reading this is interested in attending, I think there are a few places left. Please contact Lisa at lisabaker1@btinternet.com for information.

Until next time, happy crafting.

Woodware You Make Me Happy

 Hello lovely crafters,

Well it's nearly the weekend, do you have anything nice planned?
I'm going to be chillin out a bit and have a few crafty jobs I want to do.
I'm a bit poorly at the moment so trying to pace myself.
Must remember the clocks Spring Forward this weekend too.

Anyhow today I've used this cute Woodware Clear Stamp, You Make Me Happy.

Firstly I stamped with Versafine Black Onyx and embossed with clear EP.

This makes watercolouring super easy with the raised areas to paint in.
To colour I used three pink colours from
Spectrum Aqua Pens, Floral option, Begonia, Rose Pink and Blossom.
I wanted to use this stamp in a different way from my last  post
so chose this monochrome option.
I simply swiped the pens onto a blending mat and
spritzed with water to colour with a fine brush.
The less water you add the more vibrant the colours are.
Dry with heat tool and cut out the three panels.

Using a tall card blank I stuck the images down one side.
A piece of Anna Marie Designs Dottie card stock in Passion Pink
was cut for the other side of the card.
I had a piece of Woodware Pale Pink Ric-Rac 3mm finished this card off nicely.

Stampendous Blossom Bunch - Take two....

Good morning all,

I do hope that you are all keeping well?

I am feeling pretty shattered at the moment as I have just finished a run of shows and was at the NEC in Birmingham last week with the lovely Imagination Crafts. Fabulous show and thank you to all of you that came and supported us at the show, I met some fabulous people......

So today I thought that I would show you the second card that the ladies made at last months workshop. I gave them lots of different options for this card and they all made their own take on it which was fabulous.

The only main feature was that they were colouring the stamped Blossom bunch image with Aqua Markers and then masking off to stamp a background in place....I used the Stampendous Vintage Contract on mine

It was then up to them to use the other elements that I put in their packs to design the card layout and they all did really well......

The Aqua Markers have been re-ordered and will be arrive in about 3-4 weeks as they are on back order, so I will let you know as soon as they come in.

It is a quick one from me today, so I will say ta ta for now and I will be back soon.....

Big hugs

Spectrum Aqua Pens and the Bokeh Effect

Good morning, happy Monday. I hope everyone had a nice weekend. No doubt many of you will have seen the Bokeh technique on many projects recently. It looks so effective & I wanted to have a go. I tried it on a scrap piece of watercolour card & as often happens, I liked the result so much I had to use it on a card. I used colours from the Floral set of Spectrum Aqua pens & the
 Blossom Bunch stamp from Stampendous.

I scribbled Marigold & Jasmine pens onto a blending mat, spritzed them with water & dabbed the colours randomly onto the watercolour card & let it dry.........

Used a piece of Cut & Dry foam to apply white Versacolor ink through the
Imagination Crafts Bubble stencil. Left it to dry for a little while, replaced the stencil & applied more ink. I repeated this a few times to build up the white.............

Stamped the Blossom Bunch stamp with Grape Versacolor, applied Clear Gloss embossing powder & heat set.......

Began colouring with Heather Spectrum Aqua, but the white ink reacted against the pens & the result was a very different colour..........

So I stamped onto another piece of card, coloured the flowers with Heather & Orchid SA pens, cut out the flowers & adhered them to the main image..........

I wanted to continue the circles theme behind the tag shape I'd cut, so I used a piece of patterned paper from the Joy Crafts Vintage paper bloc, punched out some circles from another scrap of watercolour card - also coloured with Jasmine & Marigold SA pens, as were the card candi - and added some dots & scribbles with a black fine line pen............

I added gold liquid pearls to the centre of the flowers & a final embellishment of a mini hinge clip & a length of seam binding ribbon. The sentiment is from the

Thanks for visiting the blog today. Don't forget the theme of the current blog challenge is 'Spring Watercolours', all the details are on the challenge page.

Have a great week, see you next time.

Daisy, Daisy

Hello crafters, my turn again, how great that spring is in the air, makes you want to make cards with flowers on all the time :o)  This card is for our promotion for this month and uses the new Stampendous Daisy Thanks stamp and Spectrum Aqua Pens

I started with a white 7 x 7 card and used the Thanks a Bunch stamp from the Stampendous Daisy Thanks set to stamp around the edge using Versafine Black Onyx.

Then matted some of the new Pastel Paper Bloc onto some black card from my stash and glued it into place.  I stamped the Daisy image onto some Watercolour Card, twice so to create dimension.  Before colouring in the image I inked around the card with Tumbled Glass Tim Holtz Distress Ink, just to take away the starkness of the white really.  This time I wanted to move away from the traditional white Daisy so went for a nice yellow from the Aqua pens, then coloured in the centres with a very watered down black.

I then coloured in the largest flower from the second image only and cut it out to decoupage onto the original, then coloured all the centres in with black Wink of Stella.

I expect you've gathered by now that I love the little bows created from the Sue Wilson Finished Touches Range of Bows, leaving them in the die I dabbed a little of the blue ink over them.  I then matted this onto another piece of black card before mounting the whole thing onto my card.
Here's the finished card again :o)

Thanks for dropping by today, and see you again very soon
Love Jan xx    If you would like to look at the bottom of the page there is my take on our class makes from 6th March :o)

Daisy Bird Stamp from Woodware......

Morning all,

I do hope that you are all well, I have yet another cold and feel a little run down at the moment!!!
It is always a really busy time in February and March with shows and I can't wait for the summer and some warmer weather, still spring is arriving so I can't complain......

On that note I have a little spring card to show you that I made as a sample for last months workshop. I mixed up painting with Spectrum Aqua Markers with paper piecing using the new paper pad called Joy Craft shabby Chic Paper Bloc) which I absolutely love these little floral designs, mixed in with dotty and ginghams in lovely colours......

I matted and layered some borders using the printed papers and some black card.
I stamped my image
I coloured the daisies using Spectrum Aquas Floral set and then using my matching papers from the pad I re-stamped the image on two of  the matching papers and cut them out and paper pieced them on to my main image.....
I added some card candi to finish it off.....

I hope you like my little spring card and it brightens your day......

I am travelling up to the NEC today to get ready for the Spring Hobby Crafts Show at the NEC in Birmingham 19th - 22nd March . I will be demoing with my lovely friend Sue on Imagination Crafts Stand A32 . If you are attending, pop by and say Hi.....
Sue and I both have new demos and do really different things with Imagination Crafts products. Sue will be demoing Silkies with Sparkle Medium and I will be showing you a new technique I have called 'Spring Bling'. We have some fabulous offers on at the show and my brand new stamps will be there too.....exciting!!!

Well that is all from me for now, have a great week.......
Big hugs,
