Back from Holiday!.........

Afternoon All,

What a miserable dreary day it is out there. Are we all ready for the great storms that are mean to be coming?

What a difference in temperature to come back to!!!
As a lot of you know, I have been on holiday and came back last weekend.... however my feet have not really touched ground yet as I have been really busy getting ready for my next workshop ( next Friday 1st November), I am really looking forward to catching up with a lot of you.

I had a fabulous holiday, really relaxing and the weather was better than normal for this time of year. It has usually started to cool down out there by now but they have had it extreme this year and it was up to 32 degrees for  a couple of the days and the rest was high 20's, Fabulous!!

If you are looking for a great getaway, that is the real Spain in a sleepy village that has no British bars serving fry ups and sausage and chips or people walking around in Union Jack shorts you cannot beat where I go, it is beautiful......

I go out twice a year to a village called Costa Cabana just outside Almeria Airport and I stay at Villa Karma which is friends of mine that run a bed and breakfast.
But and I mean but, this is no ordinary bed and breakfast...... Kristina and Kevin that own Villa Karmar are the loveliest, kindest and caring people that I have ever known and are like my second Mum and Dad. However they are not just like this with me, they are like this with everyone that comes to stay there.
They have 5 rooms with on-suite that they rent out, whether it be one room that you need or all five rooms for your family. Kevin picks you up from the Airport and takes you back to meet the lovely Kristina. You have a free welcome pack of water, tea and coffee, biscuits, bottle of wine, beers and soft drinks awaiting you in your room. Kev and Kris serve breakfast every morning of mixed fresh fruits followed by cereals if you want them and then a full or part English breakfast and toast whatever you want. All with tea, coffee, fresh juices, jams, marmalade and yogurts. What more could you want to start the day.

I usually swim every morning before breakfast because that is me!!! and helps combat the weight gain, lol! there is a great pool for that.....

If you prefer a bigger swimming area the the sea front is two streets away and you can go for a swim in the sea,you can just about see it in the horizon on this photo from one of the roof terraces.......

They have a fabulous lounge area if you want to sit and read or watch a bit of telly.....

There are some great local bars serving fantastic tapas and if you drink wine or beer the tapas are free, can you believe that they still do that? Yes because it is a Spanish village and not commercialised....
However if this is all a little quite for you and you are looking for more excitement and shopping there is a regular bus route in to Almeria town which is about 20 Min's away that will cost you
1 euro.5 cents each way.
Along the bus route in to Almeria you Will pass Zapio Playa which is a beautiful beach with bars and sunbeds for a great day out at the beach or carry on further in to town for some great shopping.

Almeria is vast and has some great places to go including the historical castle of Alcazaba......

Kris does cook some nights and she is a fabulous cook...... for 25 euros per person, you get a pre dinner drink, three delicious courses, wine, beer, coffee, liqueur and chocolates......its crazy isn't it!!

They also take you out on trips if you wish to go, so you get to see some fabulous places and meet some great people too.......

Anyway if that has tickled your taste buds and you want to find out more then click on this link below:

I will be back on Monday with the big reveal of my Craft Studio, it is finally finished and I am still sorting through all the stash that is being sold as there are thousands of items!!!

See you soon
